On the morning of February 1, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a conference to review the work of January and deploy key tasks for February 2024. Comrade Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the conference.
Also attending were leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, specialized agencies, and staff of the Provincial Party Committee; Standing Committees of district and city Party Committees, and affiliated Party Committees.
Discussing at the conference, delegates assessed that in January, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Standing Committee focused on leadership and direction, with focus and key points, and achieved relatively comprehensive and clear results in all areas. Party and government building work was deployed synchronously, comprehensively and effectively; the political system was increasingly consolidated. The Provincial Party Executive Committee agreed to continue implementing the working theme "Maintaining discipline, enhancing responsibility, innovation, creativity, and practical effectiveness" in 2024.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee discussed and gave opinions on the contents submitted to the 19th Session of the 15th Provincial People's Council; Draft Action Programs of the Provincial Party Committee to implement the Resolution of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee. Focus on directing the organization of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024, focusing on organizing activities to repay gratitude, social security policies, taking care of the material and spiritual life of the people to celebrate the Lunar New Year to ensure joy, health, safety and savings.
During the month, localities strengthened the direction of economic development and the implementation of national defense and security work. The estimated value of industrial production reached VND 8,641 billion, up 13% over the same period. Total state budget revenue reached VND 1,647 billion, reaching 8.8% of the estimate, up 29.8% over the same period. Total retail sales of goods reached VND 7,328 billion, up 38.9% over the same period. The number of visitors to tourist attractions in the province during the month was estimated at over 770 thousand; tourism revenue was estimated at over VND 700 billion.
There has been progress in culture and society, and people's lives have continued to improve and rise. Local defense and military have been strengthened; political security and social order and safety have been ensured. Localities have focused on preparing well for the 2024 military enlistment ceremony.
At the conference, delegates also discussed and clarified the results achieved by sectors and localities in January, the difficulties and limitations, and proposed many solutions to carry out key tasks in February 2024. In particular, it was proposed to continue focusing on leading and directing the work of taking care of Tet for poor households, policy households, people in difficult circumstances, workers; military recruitment; handling of complaints and denunciations; budget collection; strengthening coordination to ensure security and order during the 2024 Lunar New Year...
Concluding the conference, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed the outstanding results and highly appreciated the efforts of all levels and sectors in implementing political, economic and social tasks during the month.
Based on the consensus with the proposals and solutions of the delegates, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee proposed that in the coming time, it is necessary to focus on directing the work of Party building, continuing to perfect and improve the quality of the draft Action Programs of the Provincial Party Committee to implement the Resolution of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee. Directing the development of a plan to organize activities to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Ninh Binh associated with the 55th anniversary of implementing his Testament. Issuing the 2024 Working Program of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.
Continue to effectively direct tasks related to personnel work, inspection, supervision, mass mobilization, prevention and combat of corruption, waste and negativity. Focus on leadership, direction and early completion of the 2024 Party membership recruitment target, and establishment of Party organizations in non-state enterprises.
Regarding socio-economic development, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested focusing on leading and directing the implementation of key tasks and solutions to implement the socio-economic development plan and the State budget estimate for 2024. Actively directing site clearance, implementing works and projects in the province; speeding up the disbursement of public investment capital.
Well organized the launching ceremony of "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho"; activities to celebrate the Party, celebrate Spring, take care of Tet for policy families, poor and near-poor households, ensure social security. Led and directed the preparation of activities to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
Grasp the situation of the people, workers, and religion, proactively advise on timely solutions; prepare to organize the 2024 military enlistment ceremony well, achieving 100% of the target. Strengthen the assurance of political security, social order and safety during the Lunar New Year; strictly implement the duty of Tet. Do a good job of receiving citizens, receiving, processing, and resolving complaints and denunciations; coordinate well in the province's foreign affairs work.
Organize and launch patriotic emulation movements, ensuring practicality and effectiveness, creating momentum and determination to successfully complete the 2024 goals and tasks right from the first days, first months and first quarters of the year.
