The speech presented by Dai Tran Van Duc, Director of Factory Z119 at the ceremony affirmed: The predecessor of Factory Z119 was the Radar Repair Workshop - MZ-495 command machine, established in mid-1965 in the context of the fierce resistance war against the US, saving the country. After many name changes and upgrades, in 1974 the unit was named Factory Z119, and in 1987 it was officially under the Air Defense - Air Force Service.

Authorized by the President , Major General Vu Hong Son awarded the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal to Factory Z119.

During 60 years of construction and development, overcoming countless difficulties and hardships, the Factory has continuously developed in all aspects. During the war, the unit both organized on-site repairs and mobilized to the battlefields, contributing to ensuring timely technical support for the combat forces. The unit also researched and improved many weapons, including the K-860 radar, which effectively supported the missile control station, contributing to the victory of " Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the air" and the glorious feats of the Air Defense - Air Force troops.

Entering the peacetime period, Factory Z119 invested in depth in technology, mastering the repair process of modern radars, such as P-12, P-18, P-19, P-37, PRB-16. Many major projects were successfully implemented, notably the improvement of the P-18 radar station, investment in new generation radar repair technology, meeting the requirements of military modernization.

In addition, the factory also organizes mobile repair teams at units of the Air Defense - Air Force Service and the Navy Service, including units stationed in remote seas and islands; contributing to ensuring technical equipment and weapons and firmly protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland.

With its outstanding achievements, Factory Z119 was honored to be awarded the noble title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the Party and State, along with many other noble awards.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Vu Hong Son praised the achievements that Factory Z119 has achieved over the past 60 years; at the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, the Factory would continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the "3 breakthroughs" set forth in the Resolution of the 11th Party Congress of the Army Corps, term 2025-2030; concretize and match the tasks of the Factory. Focus on organizing professional training to improve the skills of staff, engineers, and repairmen, ensuring fast, timely, quality, effective and safe production and repair work in all aspects. Regularly take care of building a strong and comprehensive Factory. Promote the scientific research movement, promote initiatives, and improve techniques to meet the practical training and combat readiness requirements of units in the Army Corps. Proactively invest in technology in manufacturing materials, spare parts, etc.

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of its tradition, Factory Z119 was honored to receive the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal from the President for its outstanding achievements in training, combat readiness, force building and national defense.
