( Bqp.vn ) - On the afternoon of September 27, in Hanoi, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of National Defense , received Mr. Kubo Fumiaki, President of the Japan Defense University.

Emphasizing that cooperation in education and human resource training is a bright spot in the relationship between the two countries, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam said that cooperation in education and human resource training in the field of defense has been promoted by the leaders of the two Ministries of Defense. Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam sincerely thanked the Japanese Ministry of Defense for annually granting scholarships to the Vietnamese Ministry of Defense at the Japan Defense University. After returning home, Vietnamese students have promoted the knowledge they have learned, performed well in their assigned tasks, and become a bridge to promote the Vietnam - Japan relationship.

Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam emphasized that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense has a great need for training human resources at university and postgraduate levels, especially in high-tech fields; he requested Mr. Kubo Fumiaki to pay attention to and promote this issue. Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam also affirmed that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense always supports and creates conditions for the academies and schools of the two countries' Ministries of National Defense to increase exchanges, contacts, promote cooperation and joint training in the coming time.
