Thanks to safe and stable operation, from November 2022 to present, Ngan Truoi Hydropower Plant (Vu Quang, Ha Tinh ) has generated nearly 55 million kWh of electricity to the national grid.

Forecasting work always closely follows the hydrological situation in the basin, closely coordinating with Vietnam Electricity Group and the Management Board of Ngan Truoi Irrigation Reservoir to operate and regulate the reservoir to ensure compliance with the operating procedures. In addition, the company attaches special importance to training and improving the quality of human resources; thereby, the company's officers and employees grasp the tasks, master the equipment, technology and operate effectively...".

Ngan Truoi Hydropower Plant will start operating and connect the first electricity to the national grid from November 2022.

It is known that Ngan Truoi Hydropower Plant is the first hydropower plant in Vietnam to use both traditional and new technology.

Traditional technology is installed for units H1, H2, H3; while unit H4 applies new technology of turbine in flow tube with capacity of 5.7MW, one of the units applying new technology of turbine in straight flow tube with the largest capacity up to this point.

The factory began operating and connecting the first electricity to the national grid from November 2022. Despite many difficulties, the staff and workers of the factory are always united, striving and making efforts to complete the set goals and plans.

To date, the factory has generated nearly 55 million kWh of electricity to the national grid, with revenue reaching more than VND 82.8 billion.

Accordingly, from the beginning of 2023 to now, the factory has generated nearly 12 million kWh of electricity to the national grid, with estimated revenue of more than VND 26.3 billion, contributing nearly VND 6 billion to the state budget. To date, the factory has generated nearly 55 million kWh of electricity to the national grid, with revenue of more than VND 82.8 billion, contributing about VND 19.3 billion to the state budget.

In addition to the goal of achieving economic targets, Ngan Truoi Hydropower Plant has also actively implemented measures to ensure dam safety, proactively taking solutions to prevent and combat natural disasters and fires to ensure operational safety for the project and downstream areas during the flood season.

The Operation Center of Ngan Truoi Hydropower Plant is considered the brain of the plant.

To regulate the reservoir accurately, the unit regularly monitors weather information on the hydrometeorological station system; proactively grasps and calculates the water flow to the reservoir and coordinates with the operating parties to release water to regulate the reservoir in a timely manner, contributing to cutting, reducing and slowing down floods downstream, ensuring safe and effective operation of the reservoir. In particular, at the Plant Operation Center, there are always staff and technicians on duty to ensure stable production activities.

“The Operation Center of Ngan Truoi Hydropower Plant is considered the brain of the plant. Therefore, in addition to ensuring regular and continuous on-call duty and good 24/7 operation, here, the signals to observe the entire plant and warning signals at important locations are always connected to the control center to respond promptly when situations arise,” emphasized Mr. Truong Minh Ha.

In 2023, Ngan Truoi Hydropower Plant strives to produce 73 million kWh of electricity.

According to Mr. Ha, to ensure electricity supply to serve the needs of socio-economic development, especially during the period of forecasted power shortage in the hot season of 2023, Ngan Truoi Hydropower Joint Stock Company will focus on synchronously and effectively implementing technical solutions, enhancing maintenance of machinery and equipment systems according to the process so that the units are always ready to operate safely, stably and effectively.

According to the plan, in 2023, Ngan Truoi Hydropower Plant strives to achieve an electricity output of over 73 million kWh, estimated revenue of about 80 billion VND, and contribute to the state budget about 25 billion VND.
