According to doctors at Viet Duc Hospital, a young woman named THL (19 years old, Hoa Binh) had her breasts shrink significantly after giving birth to her first child. Believing in the advertisement of a non-surgical breast augmentation spa, the girl was advised to inject fillers into her breasts.

After the injection, the girl began to experience symptoms of dizziness, fainting, chills and fever and was taken to a hospital for emergency care. Afterwards, the female patient felt pain and swelling and had many lumps in her chest, sometimes with hot swelling and fever.

The girl was taken to the emergency room at Viet Duc Hospital with an infection from the filler, a very serious complication that causes pain for the patient. Doctors performed endoscopic surgery with a multi-plane color ultrasound system to remove most of the lumpy filler from the patient's chest.

Surgeons removed all the lumpy filler from the patient's chest.

At the same time, advanced techniques are applied to retain mammary gland function, helping patients to continue being mothers and producing milk for their children in the future.

With this technique, doctors can safely remove up to 90-95% of filler, helping patients recover quickly and maintain breast function.

One week after the patient's breast revision surgery, ultrasound results showed that the fillers had been almost completely removed from the breasts.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hong Ha, Head of the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery - Plastic Surgery - Aesthetics, Viet Duc Hospital said that injecting filler, also known as injecting filler into the chest, is an act that is not allowed according to regulations of the Ministry of Health .

In the past, some people injected liquid silicone into their breasts, but this substance has long been banned. Currently, some smuggled and unlicensed products such as artificial fat are used for injection into the body. These substances are of unknown origin and unsafe, especially when injected into the mammary gland, a tissue that produces milk and has a high risk of causing cancer.

Injecting unknown substances into the chest can cause many dangerous complications. Immediately, a blood vessel blockage can occur, the injected substance can travel to the brain or lungs and cause a blockage in these organs. This is rare but very dangerous, and can threaten the patient's life.

In addition, injecting substances of unknown origin at unlicensed facilities also increases the risk of infection. Many patients after injecting fillers at unlicensed spas and fillers of unknown origin often cause serious health consequences such as: fever, chills, infection or pus discharge from the injection site.

In some cases, the infection can persist and cause painful swelling, lumps, or even pus to drain from the breast through fistulas. These conditions can be long-lasting and difficult to treat. Many patients require long-term hospital treatment, or even complete mastectomy.

Doctors recommend that before deciding to increase breast size, girls should learn carefully about safe and effective methods.

Methods recognized by the Ministry of Health and world medicine include surgical breast augmentation, especially the method of endoscopic breast implant placement through the armpit. This is a method that has been proven to be safe and effective in improving breast shape. Thanks to advanced endoscopic techniques, patients will have very little pain after surgery, recover quickly with aesthetic results without any scars or blemishes on the breasts.
