The investor approved by Tien Giang province is the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT). Project implementation locations: Tan Hoa Thanh commune, Tan Lap 1 commune - Tan Phuoc district and Tan Huong commune, Tan Hoi Dong commune - Chau Thanh district.

The project has a scale of building a new transformer station with 2 transformers with capacity of 500MVA, this phase installs a machine with capacity of 250MVA. Constructing a new 4-circuit and 2-circuit line to connect Tan Phuoc 220kV Transformer Station (Cai Be) to 2 circuits of the existing My Tho - Long An 220kV Line, with a total length of about 10 km.

The Tan Phuoc 220kV transformer station (Cai Be) and connecting lines were invested in and built to ensure power supply for loads, serving the socio -economic development of Tien Giang province; preventing overloading of existing transformer stations and 220kV, 110kV lines in the area; ensuring power supply safety and energy security.

The project has a total investment of about 977 billion VND. Project implementation progress is from 2024 - 2026.

Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to be the unit to monitor, supervise investment and directly manage the project; preside over and coordinate with the Department of Construction, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Chau Thanh District People's Committee, Tan Phuoc District People's Committee to monitor and support investors in implementing the Project and periodically report the situation and progress of the Project to the Department of Planning and Investment every quarter to synthesize and report to the Provincial People's Committee.

The National Power Transmission Corporation is responsible for performing the deposit obligation to ensure project implementation in accordance with the provisions of the Investment Law 2020 and Decree No. 31/2021/ND-CP dated March 26, 2021 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Investment Law; coordinate with localities to register, update and supplement the actual land area used by the project to the Land Use Plan for 2025; List of works and projects requiring land recovery and List of works and projects using rice land in 2025 issued with the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council.

The departments and branches: Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, Finance, Construction, Natural Resources and Environment, Transport; Provincial Tax Department; Chau Thanh District People's Committee; Tan Phuoc District People's Committee; National Power Transmission Corporation and relevant units are responsible for inspecting and supervising the implementation of this Decision, reporting to the Provincial People's Committee according to the provisions of law.
