Tien Linh was honored in the V.League's typical lineup after a season of effort in Binh Duong's shirt. However, his absence at the ceremony attracted attention, especially in the context that the striker born in 1997 just missed the opportunity to win the Golden Boot award due to adjustments from the tournament's Organizing Committee.
According to the announcement from the V.League Organizing Committee, Tien Linh ended the season with 13 goals, behind two foreign players Alan Sebastiao Alexandre (CAHN) and Lucas Vinicius Goncalves Silva ( Hai Phong ). His two colleagues both scored 14 goals and shared the title of Top Scorer.
Previously, Tien Linh was recorded to have scored 14 goals. However, after reviewing the video of the match between Binh Duong and Hai Phong in round 25, the Organizing Committee determined that the goal in the 90+3 minute was actually an own goal by defender Bui Tien Dung of Hai Phong, not a shot by Tien Linh.
After receiving the notice, Tien Linh briefly shared on his personal page: "Really sad".
Meanwhile, Cong Phuong was honored in the typical lineup of the First Division after an impressive season with Binh Phuoc . However, he and the Southeast team just experienced a regrettable play-off match with Da Nang. Cong Phuong missed a penalty and did not leave much of an impression in the 0-2 loss to the Han River team.
Both stars of the Vietnamese team did not appear at the ceremony, but still left a clear professional mark in the 2024/25 season with memorable performances.
