On the afternoon of August 8, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son presented the decision to recognize Dr. Le Minh Chien as the principal of Da Lat University for the 2024-2029 term.

According to the decision of the Ministry of Education and Training, Dr. Le Minh Chien will continue to hold the position of principal of Dalat University until he reaches retirement age as prescribed.

This is Mr. Chien's second consecutive term as principal at the school.

At the ceremony, the Dalat University Council also announced the resolution to appoint and reappoint vice rectors.

Specifically, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Tat Thang was reappointed as Vice Principal; Dr. Tran Huu Duy and Dr. Nguyen Van Ngoc were appointed to hold the position of Vice Principal for the 2024-2029 term.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son congratulated the new principal and board members, emphasizing that this is an important transition in the new development phase of Dalat University.

Taking on the task, Dr. Le Minh Chien shared: "Based on nearly 70 years of tradition, we will continue to innovate, improve training quality, promote research and international integration, contributing to building Dalat University into a key training and research center not only of the Central Highlands but also of the whole country and Southeast Asia."

Currently, Dalat University trains nearly 14,000 students with 40 undergraduate majors, 11 master's majors and 7 doctoral majors. The school has completed the second cycle of educational quality accreditation and has 14 training programs that meet national and international accreditation standards.
