Towards the 14th Party Congress: Tuyen Quang strives to be a developed, high-income province by 2045

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Do Van Chien acknowledged and commended the efforts and achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Tuyen Quang province over the past 5 years.

Agreeing with the Political Report, affirming the general goals, key tasks, breakthroughs and the system of indicators for the next term have demonstrated the province's high political determination and strong aspirations to rise, comrade Do Van Chien emphasized: After the merger, Tuyen Quang is facing a historic opportunity and strategic step, opening up an inter-regional development corridor, creating a solid foundation for sustainable and long-term development. The province needs to arouse the desire for development, exploit potential, mobilize all resources, consider science - technology and innovation as the driving force, solidarity as strength, resources within the province are the main, outside the province are important for rapid and sustainable development.

Comrade Do Van Chien suggested that the Party Committee of Tuyen Quang province strengthen Party building and rectification, maintain security, national defense, and border sovereignty; at the same time, promptly issue an action program after the Congress, resolutely implement and put the Resolution into life. He believes that, with the glorious revolutionary tradition, solidarity, unity and high determination, the Party Committee and people of Tuyen Quang province will make a breakthrough, achieve many new achievements, contribute to building the homeland to be more and more beautiful, civilized, worthy of the position of "Capital of the Liberated Zone", "Capital of Resistance", together with the whole country, firmly step into the new era of development.

In his opening speech, Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee Hau A Lenh affirmed that in the 2020-2025 term, despite many difficulties and challenges, the two provinces of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang before the merger had achieved important and comprehensive achievements in all fields. The 1st Congress, term 2025-2030 is a political event of special significance, demonstrating the will and determination of the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in the province, towards the goal that by 2030, Tuyen Quang will be a fairly developed, comprehensive, sustainable province with high average income; striving by 2045 to be a developed, high-income province in the midland and mountainous region of the North.

Briefly presenting the Political Report to the Congress, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province Phan Huy Ngoc stated that in the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee, government and people of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces before the merger had made efforts to overcome many difficulties and challenges, achieving important and quite comprehensive results in all fields.

The province's economy continues to grow and has many improvements. The breakthroughs, key tasks and main solutions identified in the Resolution of the Party Congress of the two provinces before the merger have been focused on, directed and implemented synchronously, effectively and on schedule. In particular, the breakthrough in infrastructure development, especially transport infrastructure, has achieved important results, gradually removing "bottlenecks", creating a driving force to promote growth and socio-economic development.

The potential and advantages of agriculture, forestry and tourism are increasingly effectively promoted. The fields of culture, society and human development are given attention and investment for development, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people and consolidating the great national unity bloc.

The economic structure continues to shift in a positive direction, linking industrial and service development with enhancing the value of agriculture, forestry and sustainable tourism development. State management has been strengthened, the investment and business environment has been improved, gradually affirming the role as the driving force for economic development of the province in the new period.

Along with economic development, the cultural and social fields continued to change positively; the quality of education was improved; people's health care and social security were ensured. In particular, the implementation of the two-level local government model after the merger achieved positive initial results, with a streamlined apparatus, effective and efficient operations; creating a clear change in management and operation.

The above outstanding results have created an important premise, strengthened the people's trust, and motivated the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Tuyen Quang province to enter a new development stage, affirming its central role in the Northern midland and mountainous region, worthy of the position of "Capital of the Liberated Zone", "Capital of Resistance".

At the end of the opening session, the Congress announced the Politburo's decisions to appoint members of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Inspection Committee member, Chairman, and Deputy Chairman of the Inspection Committee of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term. Accordingly, the Executive Committee of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee, term I, term 2025 - 2030, consists of 68 comrades; the Standing Committee consists of 22 members. Comrade Hau A Lenh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, holds the position of Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.
