Actively support fishermen to prevent and fight storm No. 9

In response to the development of storm No. 9 (Ragasa storm), on September 24, in the Ha Long Bay area, Quang Ninh province, Squadron 11, Coast Guard Region 1 Command actively and proactively organized many activities to support and help fishermen prevent and fight the storm.

Squadron 11 has established working groups to conduct propaganda and mobilize more than 50 fishing boats to return to the storm shelter area. Officers and soldiers of the Squadron went to the ships taking shelter in the area to visit and present 120 national flags, necessities including 10 boxes of instant noodles, 150kg of rice, and vegetables to fishermen and households in Cua Van fishing village; at the same time, distributed more than 200 propaganda leaflets, reminding people to strictly comply with storm prevention and control regulations of all levels, and absolutely not to leave the fishing shelter area to ensure absolute safety for people and property.

The working groups of the Navy helped fishermen tie up boats, check ropes and buoys, clean up nets and fishing gear; and called on vessels and fishermen to take shelter from the storm to ensure safety.

In addition, the Commander of the 11th Naval Division also regularly inspects and reminds the unit's ships and boats to strictly comply with regulations on storm prevention, maintain forces and means on standby ready to carry out search and rescue missions for fishermen when situations arise, and ensure absolute safety in all aspects.
