Received 1 billion VND to support children and families affected by storms and floods

On October 16, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health , the Vietnam Children's Fund organized a reception of 1 billion VND in sponsorship from Prudential Vietnam Life Insurance Company Limited (Prudential Vietnam) for children and families affected by storms and floods.

At the program, Director of the Vietnam Children's Fund Dinh Tien Hai - received a sponsorship of 1 billion VND from General Director of Prudential Vietnam Kevin Kwon. This fund will be passed through the Vietnam Children's Fund to support overcoming the consequences of storms and floods in 6 provinces and cities that have recently been affected by storms and floods: Nghe An, Thai Nguyen, Hanoi, Bac Giang , Lang Son and Cao Bang.

The VND1 billion sponsored by Prudential will contribute to the work of overcoming the consequences of storms and floods to support material renovation, provide social security packages, and tools to support teaching, learning and living activities for schools affected by storms and floods in the above provinces and cities.

The donation activities will be coordinated by Prudential and the Vietnam Children's Fund directly at the local level from October to November 2025, ensuring timely support to affected schools and students.

Mr. Kevin Kwon, CEO of Prudential Vietnam shared: “During 26 years of accompanying Vietnam, Prudential has always paid deep attention to the safety and health of the communities we serve. Faced with the severe impact of floods in the northern provinces, we are fully aware of our responsibility and wish to contribute practical actions. Through this support, Prudential hopes to be able to add strength to the localities to soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.”

Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Tri Thuc acknowledged and highly appreciated the practical contributions of Prudential Vietnam to Vietnam, especially for children in special and difficult circumstances. The Ministry of Health supports Prudential Vietnam's 2025 support program through the Vietnam Children's Fund as well as the Company's social activities in the coming time. At the same time, he also hopes that, through cooperation with the Vietnam Children's Fund, Prudential Vietnam will continue to have more diverse community activities, especially health care activities for the community and children in Vietnam.

The Deputy Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Ministry of Health always supports and creates the best conditions for sponsors, including Prudential Vietnam Company, to fulfill the company's noble gesture towards Vietnamese children in particular and the community in general, and hopes that the Company will continue to contribute more to Vietnamese children in special and difficult circumstances, and to add children who are cared for in the womb when women are pregnant...

In the coming time, the Vietnam Children's Fund and Prudential Vietnam will continue to accompany in activities to support children and families affected by storms and floods, contributing to helping their families overcome difficulties and soon move towards a safe, stable and happy life.
