Received 1 billion VND in support from Tien Giang province

Receiving the delegation were Mr. Pham Van Lap, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hai Phong City; Mr. Dao Trong Duc, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city.

A working delegation led by Mr. Vo Van Binh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Tien Giang province, visited and presented funds to support Hai Phong city in overcoming the damage caused by storm No. 3.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City, Dao Trong Duc, quickly informed the working delegation of Tien Giang province about the damage caused by storm No. 3 to the city and the implementation of overcoming the consequences after the storm. As of 4:00 p.m. on October 18, 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city - the City Relief Mobilization Committee has received over 96 billion VND from more than 2,200 organizations, units, groups, individuals and businesses.

From the received funds, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong city has allocated 2 installments with a total amount of over 81 billion VND to support the repair of houses damaged after the storm.

Hai Phong received 1 billion VND in funding to support people to overcome the consequences of the storm from Tien Giang province.

The remaining funds will be used together with the City Disaster Prevention Fund to support agricultural households affected by storm damage. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City - Hai Phong City Relief Mobilization Committee commits that the donations from units, businesses, organizations and individuals will be used for the right purposes, openly and transparently.

Mr. Vo Van Binh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Tien Giang province shared the damage, loss and difficulties caused by storm No. 3 to Hai Phong city. Mr. Binh expressed that with the drastic participation of the entire political system and the sharing of organizations, units, businesses, individuals and philanthropists, Hai Phong will quickly restore production, stabilize people's lives, and continue to become the driving force for development of the Northern region and the whole country.
