Further motivating passion for the profession.

After more than a decade dedicated to journalism, 2023 marked the most profound milestone in my journey of seeking knowledge, as it was the first time my work won the first National Journalism Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Award). This honor and recognition further motivates me to strive, improve myself, overcome difficulties, and continue contributing to the field of journalism.

I was very surprised and moved when my three-part series "Bridging the Gap" between the Party's will and the people's aspirations was honored as one of the 67 outstanding journalistic works recognized at the recent awards ceremony held at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace ( Hanoi ). Despite being held for the first time, the Dien Hong Award attracted over 3,300 journalistic works from numerous journalists at news agencies nationwide, a clear testament to the award's appeal and widespread impact.

According to the judging panel, this is a high-quality award and will be an important journalistic award in the system of revolutionary journalism awards in our country. The works selected for the Dien Hong Award are meticulously and scientifically produced, demonstrating quality in both content and form; some of these works are multi-part series using modern propaganda methods. The content of the works vividly reflects the theme of the Dien Hong Award; many works closely follow the process of improving and innovating the organization and operation of the National Assembly and People's Councils, reflecting the pulse of life, the thoughts and aspirations of voters and the people, proposing suggestions to improve the quality and effectiveness of the activities of elected bodies; highlighting the position and role of the National Assembly and People's Councils, focusing on reflecting the activities of the National Assembly delegation, National Assembly representatives, and People's Council representatives, with a strong impact on society and the public.

Upon learning about the Dien Hong Award, I was particularly interested because it is one of the important journalism awards in our country's revolutionary journalism system. I carefully selected some of my works on propaganda about the National Assembly to submit. I decided to submit the series of articles "The Bridge" between the Party's will and the people's hearts to participate in the award because its content comprehensively reflects the activities of the Binh Thuan Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies. With responsibility, intelligence, and dedication, the Delegation has proactively innovated in its activities of engaging with constituents, diversifying forms, target groups, areas, and fields of contact, getting closer to the people, listening to and empathizing with the legitimate concerns and aspirations of voters. The Delegation has strengthened its oversight activities, with National Assembly Deputies participating with a high sense of responsibility, focusing on issues that voters are concerned about; thereby promptly receiving and conveying this information to the Party and the State. The activities of the Binh Thuan Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies in the past period have been assessed as truly serving as a "bridge" between the Party, the State, the Government and the people, between the National Assembly and the voters, worthy of the trust of the voters...

This series of articles has contributed to spreading the spirit of innovation and decisive action for the people by the National Assembly, not only the National Assembly delegation of Binh Thuan province but also the National Assembly delegations of other provinces and cities nationwide, and elected bodies in general, all sharing the same responsibility, intellect, and dedication. This provides vivid material for the press to explore. Therefore, I believe that the National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils - the Dien Hong Award - will grow stronger. At the same time, through this award, I and my colleagues will pay more attention to and reflect more deeply and profoundly on topics related to the National Assembly and People's Councils; closely following the pulse of life, reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of voters and the people, and proposing ideas to improve the quality and effectiveness of the activities of elected bodies at the local level…

As one of the few reporters from a local Party newspaper to win the Dien Hong Award, this is a great source of happiness and encouragement for me to continue striving for the journalistic career I am passionate about and have chosen to pursue. Besides the joy, this award also motivates me to produce higher-quality articles, as the Chairman of the National Assembly, Vuong Dinh Hue, advised at the award ceremony: “I believe that the revolutionary press of our country will continue to develop, making increasingly important and significant contributions to building a comprehensively developed National Assembly and People's Councils, worthy of the trust and confidence of the people. Every beginning is difficult! From the success of the first Dien Hong Award, with the spirit of “Dien Hong,” and “everyone shouting in unison,” I hope the award will continue to open up new horizons of exploration, discovery, and creativity at a new level for the press system and writers at home and abroad writing about the Vietnamese National Assembly and People's Councils...”

Speaking at a recent press conference commemorating the 98th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023), National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue expressed his hope that all journalists would continue to fully and deeply understand the viewpoint that journalism is a sharp weapon and a powerful tool of the Party, the voice of the State, and a broad and powerful forum of the People on the ideological, political, and cultural fronts, through the exploration, discovery, and creativity of loyal, honest, and humane historians, and through outstanding journalistic works, contributing to the fight against wrongdoing and evil, protecting what is right and good, for the common cause of the country and the people...

On the occasion of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, the Chairman of the National Assembly wished journalists to always keep the flame of enthusiasm burning in their hearts, to continue making even more contributions to the noble cause they have chosen, and to always be worthy of being "revolutionary fighters" as Uncle Ho once advised and expected; he hoped that veteran journalists would continue to guide and pass on the passion for the profession with the spirit of "sharp eyes, pure heart, incisive pen" to the next generations of journalists, so that they can confidently and steadfastly accompany the Party, the People, and the country...
