Continue to donate nearly 34 million VND to help twin girls have money for blood transfusion

DTO - On the afternoon of May 30, Mr. Pham Huu Hoan - Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial Journalists Association, Deputy Director of Sa Dec Co May Co., Ltd.; Ms. Truong Thi Diep - Vice Chairman of Lap Vo District People's Committee visited and presented 20 million VND supported by Sa Dec Co May Co., Ltd. to the twin girls named Nguyen Thien Thanh and Nguyen Thien Kim (born in 2019), children of Mr. Nguyen Ai Duong (born in 1992, residing at 496A, An Hoa Hamlet, My An Hung B Commune, Lap Vo District) who are suffering from D56.1 - Beta thalassaemia, E8.3 - Iron metabolism disorder.

The delegation visited and encouraged Nguyen Ai Duong's family.

On this occasion, Ms. Truong Thi Diep - Vice Chairman of Lap Vo District People's Committee presented 10 million VND from the Gratitude and Child Protection Fund of Dong Thap province, and presented gifts on International Children's Day (June 1) to 2 children. Along with that, the families of the 2 children received nearly 4 million VND from readers of Dong Thap Newspaper.

Moved when receiving the support money, Mr. Duong sincerely thanked Co May Sa Dec Company Limited, readers of Dong Thap Newspaper and local authorities for their concern and help so that he could have the medical treatment costs for his two children.

Previously, the Nhip Cau Nhan Ai column of Dong Thap Newspaper published the information "2 seriously ill twin girls in dire need of help" in the issue dated May 22, 2024. Accordingly, about every 20 days, Mr. Duong had to take the two girls to the hospital for blood transfusions to sustain their lives. The cost of each hospital visit was about 2 million VND, Mr. Duong's family is poor and in very difficult circumstances.

Through the Compassionate Bridge column of Dong Thap Newspaper, up to now, Dong Thap Newspaper readers have supported Mr. Duong with a total amount of 76 million VND.
