DTO - On July 30, the working delegation of the National Committee on Vietnamese Youth led by Comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam - Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union , Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, Permanent Deputy Chairman of the National Committee on Vietnamese Youth came to work with the People's Committee of Dong Thap province on the results of implementing policies and laws on youth startups in the period of 2021 - 2024. Receiving and working with the working delegation were Comrade Huynh Minh Tuan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Youth Union, departments and branches of the province.

At the meeting, the representative of the Department of Home Affairs reported on the results of organizing and implementing policies and laws on youth startups in the period of 2021 - 2024 in the province. Accordingly, since 2015, the province has launched a startup program to promote the entrepreneurial spirit in the community with the orientation of turning the province into a "Startup Locality". In recent years, the Provincial People's Committee has directed relevant departments and branches to advise on the issuance of policies to promote startup activities in general and youth startups in particular. Maintain the organization of provincial-level startup and innovation competitions, startup competitions for students, startup forums, and the annual Red Lotus Startup Bus. Support businesses and startup projects to access loan sources to develop startup ideas and models.
Up to now, there are 11 start-up projects with over 200 young people supported with capital from the Employment Fund through the Central Youth Union channel with a total amount of 2.8 billion VND; effectively maintaining the Provincial Youth Start-up Support Fund to support 10 projects with loans with a total amount of 1.7 billion VND. Along with that, the Provincial People's Committee is interested in training, fostering knowledge, improving start-up capacity, promoting trade, expanding markets for businesses and start-up projects. Currently, the province has many models, typical of young people starting a business such as: Growing red grapefruit in greenhouses; applying high technology to produce vegetables and fruits in greenhouses according to VietGAP standards...
In addition, implementing Decision No. 897 dated July 26, 2022 of the Prime Minister approving the Program "Supporting Youth Start-ups for the period 2022 - 2030". Up to now, 100% of specialized Youth Union officials at district and commune levels working to support youth start-ups have been trained in knowledge about start-ups; 668 young people have been supported to start-ups; 2,132 young people have been equipped with knowledge and trained to improve their capacity in start-ups and business administration...
After listening to the report, the members of the Working Group said that Dong Thap is one of the localities that is very interested in supporting startup development and proposed solutions for local startup development such as: re-evaluating the local startup ecosystem; timely support in terms of capital and knowledge for students, students, and young people starting businesses; establishing a startup consulting team ineducational institutions, etc.
Comrade Huynh Minh Tuan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee thanked the members of the Working Group for their contributions to the province; at the same time, he shared that the province highly appreciated and accepted the contributions and would continue to have solutions to better implement policies and laws on youth entrepreneurship.

On behalf of the working delegation, comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam - Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Committee on Vietnamese Youth highly appreciated the results of organizing and implementing policies and laws on youth startups in the period of 2021 - 2024 of the province. At the same time, he hoped that the province would continue to maintain the development of policies to support youth startups; review, re-evaluate the effectiveness and regularly inspect the implementation of policies to support youth startups. Clearly identify the types of startups in the locality to develop appropriate policies; promote communication activities on startups, especially among students; form a focal point to support and orient startups for young people; have solutions to support legal, technological, and product designs for youth startups.
