Sharing with PV Dan Viet, Ngo Dang Huy Ba said he was very surprised to know he was the city's valedictorian.
Regarding the secret to studying, Ba said that in addition to mastering the knowledge in class, Ba also spends a lot of time reviewing and solving problems at home. Accordingly, for English, focus on learning vocabulary and grammar. For Math, solve many exercises, find out mistakes and redo similar exercises. For Literature, master the basic knowledge, and write the feelings and comments according to the flow of emotions.
"In the last week before the exam, I only spent time reviewing general knowledge, grasping the key points, and systematizing the points I had learned," Ba shared.
Ba said he was very happy and relaxed after the exam. After leaving the exam room, Ba could predict the scores of the subjects.
"Because I had predicted the score in advance, I wasn't too surprised. I just didn't think I would be valedictorian," Ba added.

During the 9th grade, Ba also won 2 awards: Second prize in the city's Math competition; Gold prize in the VioEdu arena in Da Nang city.
With the score he achieved, Huy Ba will study Math at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, which he loves.
Ms. Dang Thi Anh Phap (parent) said that the results that Ba achieved were the result of the whole family's efforts over a long period of time. "The days of taking him to school, to the exam preparation center. The nights waiting for him to study, worrying about his health... have all paid off. The family does not put too much pressure on him to achieve high results, but we always accompany him and are ready to support him when he needs it," Ms. Phap shared.
Ms. Pham Thi Oanh, homeroom teacher, commented that Ngo Dang Huy Ba is a well-behaved, polite, studious student and an active, enthusiastic, and passionate class monitor.
"Ba is good at all subjects, modest, and gets along well with his friends. In addition to being a good student, Ba also participates in all school activities such as soccer, performing arts, etc. To me, Ba is a perfect student," said Ms. Oanh.
