The 2024-2025 school year ended with a proud milestone for teachers and students of Chu Van An Secondary School when the school had 34 students admitted to Ha Long High School for the Gifted, of which 3 students won the title of valedictorian in specialized subjects in the Entrance Exam to Grade 10 of Ha Long High School for the Gifted - the highest number among secondary schools in the province. Specifically: Duong Hoang Lam (class 9A2) was valedictorian in Chemistry with 42 points; Pham Ngoc Gia Nhu (class 9A4) was valedictorian in Biology with 44.1 points; Nguyen Do Tuan Kiet (class 9A5) was valedictorian in Mathematics with 43.95 points. In addition, Nguyen Tuan Phong (class 9A4) won the title of Second Prize in Information Technology with an impressive score of 43.01 points. Pham Ngoc Gia Nhu shared: I was very surprised and happy when I learned that I was the valedictorian of the Biology major. Before the exam, I only set a goal of trying my best, not thinking that I would get such a high score.

Gia Nhu dreams of becoming a good doctor. She loves Biology since her first lessons about the human body and the biological world. From that love, she has spent a lot of time reading more specialized books, learning through science videos and constantly practicing her test-taking skills. "In addition to textbook knowledge, I also study advanced documents and practice many exam questions from specialized schools across the country. Whenever I encounter a difficult question, I often discuss with my teacher and friends to understand the nature of the problem more deeply" - Gia Nhu said.

Not only achieving high results in the specialized exam system, in the 2025-2026 school year, Chu Van An Secondary School had 163 students admitted to public schools, including Pham Ngoc Hai (class 9A5) who won the runner-up position at Cam Pha High School. The average score of the whole school in the three common exam subjects was 22.97 points - a high level compared to the average of the whole province. In particular, the English subject had an average score of 8.42; 8 students scored 10 points and 82 students scored above 9 points. The average score of Math was 7.55; 14 students scored above 9 points. The average score of Literature was 7; 40 students scored 8 points or more. These figures show the uniformity in the quality of teaching and learning, with appropriate investment in both key and general subjects.
