Rashford officially joins Barcelona
Striker Marcus Rashford has passed a medical to complete a loan move to Barcelona, with an option to buy at the end of the season for €30 million ($32.7 million). At Camp Nou, Rashford has accepted a 15% pay cut compared to his time at Manchester United. Barca have agreed to pay the 27-year-old's full wages but will not charge a loan fee.
However, Rashford is currently unable to register for La Liga 2025/26 due to salary cap issues. Previously, the Blaugrana also faced a similar situation: Dani Olmo was forced to sit out the first two matches of the 2024/25 season, while Jules Kounde was unable to play in the opening round of La Liga after moving from Sevilla in 2022.
Man United completes blockbuster Mbeumo
After three transfer offers, Man United have succeeded in convincing Brentford to release Bryan Mbeumo for €82 million ($89.4 million). The 25-year-old player completed a medical and signed a five-year contract, lasting until the summer of 2030, with an option for a one-year extension.
Mbeumo is expected to wear the number 19 shirt - previously worn by Varane, Rashford, Welbeck and Dwight Yorke. The Cameroon international will also travel to Chicago with the Red Devils on their tour of the US, taking part in the Premier League Summer Series friendlies against West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton.
AC Milan close in on Estupinan
According to Sky Sports, AC Milan are closing in on a deal to sign Pervis Estupiñán after raising their asking price to €20 million ($21.8 million). Brighton have signaled they are ready to part ways with the Ecuadorian left-back after leaving him out of their squad for the recent 2-0 friendly win over Las Palmas.
Arsenal has not stopped shopping plans
Coach Mikel Arteta confirmed that the team will continue to strengthen its squad during the remaining time of the summer transfer window. After recruiting Kepa, Zubimendi, Norgaard and Madueke, Arsenal are in negotiations to acquire Cristhian Mosquera and especially striker Viktor Gyökeres. In addition, the Gunners have also been linked with Rodrygo from Real Madrid.
Arsenal are currently on a tour of Asia, facing AC Milan (July 23) and Newcastle (July 27), before playing the North London derby against Tottenham in Hong Kong on July 31.
Chelsea target Xavi Simons to replace Madueke
After letting Noni Madueke leave for Arsenal, Chelsea have put Xavi Simons on their shortlist of potential replacements. The 22-year-old Dutch international – who scored 11 goals and provided eight assists for RB Leipzig last season – is likely to cost Chelsea €65 million ($70.8 million) and will face stiff competition from Bayern Munich.
Man United still wants to reform the attack
Despite having Matheus Cunha and Mbeumo, coach Ruben Amorim is still not satisfied with the current attack. In the context of Zirkzee and Hojlund not meeting expectations, Man United is aiming for options such as Benjamin Sesko (RB Leipzig), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa), Kolo Muani (PSG) and Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea).
However, before buying more, the Red Devils must liquidate players who are no longer in the plan such as Antony, Sancho or Garnacho.
Chelsea "screams the price" of Nicolas Jackson
Amid rumors that Man United wants Nicolas Jackson, Chelsea has announced that they will only sell if they receive a price of 100 million euros (109 million USD). The contract between the two sides has 8 years left, so The Blues are not under much financial pressure. This price can make even the big Saudi Arabian clubs hesitate, not to mention Man United - a team that is having difficulty with the transfer budget.
