On the morning of July 9, at the twenty-fifth session, the 16th term Hanoi People's Council held a question-and-answer session on two important groups of issues, which the city focused on directing and public opinion and voters were particularly interested in, namely re-questioning the implementation of Resolution No. 65/NQ-HDND dated December 12, 2024 on the conclusion of the question-and-answer session at the twentieth session of the City People's Council; questioning a group of issues on the implementation of food safety regulations in the city.

Localities and units need to speed up the digital transformation process.

On the morning of July 9, chairing the conference to review the work of the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2025 of the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation of Party and mass organizations in Hanoi, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong, Head of the Steering Committee, requested that localities and units need to speed up the digital transformation process, not slow down the city's digital transformation work; clearly identify Hanoi's position in the country's digital transformation rankings; and at the same time, must agree with the Central Government's viewpoint: Only use a single platform, do not build separate software.

On July 8, the Investigation Police Agency, Hanoi City Police Department issued a decision to prosecute 3 criminal cases for "Violating food safety regulations" against a number of individuals who slaughtered and consumed infected pork. The incident shows that concerns about food safety still exist, requiring stronger involvement of functional agencies, local authorities and people to thoroughly prevent the trade of dirty food.
