Pig price forecast for tomorrow, May 13, 2025, will increase again after the price drop

With the current market situation, the price of live pigs on May 13, 2025 is forecast to remain stable in all three regions. In the North, the price ranges from 61,000 to 68,000 VND/kg. In the Central and Central Highlands, the price ranges from 69,000 to 73,000 VND/kg. The South records prices from 73,000 to 75,000 VND/kg.

The market currently lacks any sudden factors to push prices up sharply. Demand from restaurants, schools and industrial kitchens remains moderate, not fully recovered from the holiday, while the supply of live pigs remains relatively stable.

For farmers, it is necessary to maintain a reasonable herd size and avoid selling off when prices have not shown clear signs of increasing, while focusing on disease prevention to protect supply. Processing enterprises can take advantage of the period of stable prices to negotiate long-term purchasing contracts, preparing goods for the peak period in the middle of the year. Traders need to be flexible, prioritizing purchases in areas with high and stable prices, while limiting the accumulation of goods in low-price areas to avoid risks from transportation costs.
