Napoli and Inter Milan have yet to decide the Serie A championship
Round 37, also the penultimate round of the Italian Championship (Serie A), witnessed an unbelievable scenario. Napoli had the advantage of leading the rankings but was only 1 point ahead of Inter Milan.
Napoli only had a 0-0 draw against relegation-threatened Parma. Coach Antonio Conte also received a red card in the 90+1 minute for a heated argument with the opposing coaching staff and the referee.
Then in the 90+10 minute, Napoli thought they would be awarded a penalty when David Neres fell in the penalty area. If they had scored, the Naples team would have been crowned Serie A champions with one round to spare.
However, VAR intervened and overturned Napoli's penalty, causing the match to end in a 0-0 draw. In addition, this team did not have the guidance of coach Conte on the coaching seat in the final round.
* The match between Inter Milan and Lazio also took place in an equally thrilling scenario. Inter Milan equalized in the 45+1 minute with a shot from center-back Bisseck in the penalty area.
In the 72nd minute, Pedro of Lazio put the ball into the net and the goal was initially disallowed for offside. Thanks to VAR, this goal was recognized as an equalizer.
Inter Milan quickly made it 2-1 in the 79th minute through Dumfries' close-range header. But they were again at fault when Bisseck handled the ball in the box and Pedro equalised for Lazio again, this time from the penalty spot.
It is worth mentioning that not only did Inter Milan draw 2-2, they also lost coach Inzaghi in the final match when he received a red card.
Napoli are currently leading the table with 79 points, while Inter Milan are right behind with 78 points when Serie A has only 1 round left.

Former England footballer Gary Lineker is to say goodbye to BBC Match Of The Day after nearly 30 years. His final time hosting the show will be on 25 May, when the Premier League season comes to an end.
Gary Lineker then stopped all work, even commentating on the FIFA Club World Cup. The reason for his resignation was related to posting an anti-Semitic message on social media. The former England striker deleted the post and apologized after the incident, claiming that he did not understand the meaning of the image and did not intend to cause division.
Lineker has been with the BBC since 1999 and is one of its highest paid presenters.
