Son La Provincial Youth Union supports youth in developing OCOP products

TPO - The Youth Unions at all levels of Son La province have just presented many gifts to support youth union members in the province to develop OCOP products. Recently, the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union of Son La province have supported the subjects such as clubs, youth cooperatives, and youth-owned production and business households to build and register trademarks for packaging costs and print stamps for OCOP products of the youth.

The program aims to support the development of OCOP products for young people , contributing to promoting intelligence, creativity, improving the quality of human resources; production capacity, goods and knowledge of market access for young people to develop the economy . Through the support program, it helps promote the spirit of youth entrepreneurship in the whole province, participate in solving employment and ensuring social security in the locality.

Son La is known for many agricultural products of high economic value.

Specifically, the Son La Provincial Youth Union and Association at all levels supported 1 package of consulting, design, and registration for intellectual property protection; 1 package of product packaging for Hua Pang Agricultural Cooperative, Hua Pang Commune, Moc Chau District. Supported 1 package of consulting, design, and registration for intellectual property protection for Nam Et Agricultural Cooperative, Nam Et Commune, Quynh Nhai District; supported 3 packages of product packaging for Cha May Agricultural Cooperative, Long He Commune and Phong Lap Agricultural Cooperative, Phong Lap Commune, Thuan Chau District. These are timely and extremely meaningful activities of the Son La Provincial Youth Union to help improve the value and quality of products and make products of union members and youth more accessible to OCOP 2024 standards.

Son La province currently has more than 200 advantageous agricultural products with high economic and commercial value, which can be developed into OCOP products, which are regional endemic products of Son La, quite rich in variety, including 5 main groups: Food; beverages; herbs; souvenirs; services, rural tourism. As of March 2024, the whole province has 151 OCOP products, of which: 1 product has achieved 5 stars; 55 products have achieved 4 stars and 95 products have achieved 3 stars.
