In Decision 759/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister (dated April 14, 2025) approving the Project on rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a 2-level local government organization model, Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa will be merged into a new province called Khanh Hoa province.
With the merger of Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa provinces into Khanh Hoa province, this will be the province with the longest coastline in the country (Khanh Hoa: 385 km, Ninh Thuan: 105 km).
Both localities have coastal roads that bring many economic and tourism benefits. In particular, these two coastal roads can be connected to each other to form the longest coastal road in Vietnam.

The coastal road connecting the two most beautiful bays of Khanh Hoa
Nguyen Tat Thanh Avenue is over 35 km long and is considered the bridge connecting two tourist bays, Nha Trang and Cam Ranh. Starting from the center of Nha Trang City, it extends to Cam Lam District connecting to National Highway 1. This is considered the most beautiful road in Khanh Hoa, passing through Cu Hin Pass, Bai Dai Beach, with winding curves around the mountainside jutting out to the sea.
Nguyen Tat Thanh Avenue currently has 4 lanes, 16m wide road surface, connecting Nha Trang City and Cam Ranh Airport. The road passes through Cu Hin Pass - Bai Dai Beach, with winding curves around the mountainside jutting out to the sea.

Nguyen Tat Thanh Boulevard is the main route connecting Nha Trang and Cam Ranh airport, helping tourists easily access destinations such as Bai Dai beach, tourist areas, promoting the regional economy and increasing the value of coastal real estate. With most of the length planned as 4 lanes, the travel time from Nha Trang to Cam Ranh airport is significantly shortened (about 35-45 minutes).
Along the route is the famous Bai Dai beach, stretching nearly 13 km like an arc embracing the fine white sand with clear blue sea water. Many tourists love the quiet poetic beauty of this beach, because it is located quite far from the city so it avoids the noise of the city...

Along this beautiful coastline, there are about 50 resort projects. From luxury resorts with infinity pools overlooking the sea to private villas hidden in cool green spaces, all create an ideal resort paradise.

The coastal road has wild beauty
As the number 1 renewable energy center in the country, with 57 wind and solar power projects, total capacity of more than 3,700 MW... Ninh Thuan has a seamless traffic infrastructure: continuous roads, deep-water seaports... especially the coastal road from Ca Na (Thuan Nam District) to Vinh Hai Commune (Ninh Hai District), connecting the mainland and the islands, convenient for regional economic development and national security and defense.
With its unique geographical advantages, typical dry climate and a coastline of over 105 km, Ninh Thuan possesses many destinations that captivate tourists: Vinh Hy Bay - one of the 8 most beautiful bays in Vietnam; Nui Chua National Park - one of 11 world biosphere reserves recognized by UNESCO; Bau Truc pottery village - where the Cham people's pottery art is listed as in need of urgent protection by UNESCO; Nam Cuong sand dunes always change shape with each wind; The largest goat and sheep farming field in the country... creating a unique feature for the land of little rain and much sunshine in Ninh Thuan.

After the merger, the coastal route of Khanh Hoa - Ninh Thuan will create a potential seamless sea tourism corridor. With the combination of famous beaches of Khanh Hoa such as Doc Let, Nha Trang, Bai Dai and pristine destinations of Ninh Thuan such as Vinh Hy, Binh Tien, Ninh Chu, visitors can experience diverse sea journeys in just one trip.
The new Khanh Hoa province, with the participation of Ninh Thuan, is not only longer in terms of geography but also longer in terms of tourism, cultural depth, economy and sea vision. Although it is the smallest locality in the Central region after the merger, the new Khanh Hoa province will have enough internal strength and difference to reach out to the big sea.
