(HNM) - 1. In recent years, despite the difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam's economy has continued to grow positively. Even during the most tense time of the pandemic, our country was still one of the best growing economies in Asia. In such a context, hostile, reactionary, opportunistic political forces, and malicious news sites are all angry and aiming to defame and "sink" Vietnamese goods and brands, in an attempt to sabotage our country's economy.
They are particularly interested in export goods and brands, large, reputable and famous enterprises at home and abroad. Recently, some enterprises, after being successful in the domestic market, continued to have services and products that "bring the bell to strike foreign lands", creating a big echo. At that time, the sabotage activities of reactionary and hostile forces increased again. They searched for loopholes to use as an excuse to smear, then cut and paste, create confusion, play the "real real, fake fake" game to "drown" the image of Vietnamese goods and brands, turning the products of enterprises into fake, "hanging a goat's head to sell dog meat". They also used "reviews" (evaluations, analysis) of foreign experts, omitting the praise and using the criticism to defame Vietnamese goods.
Unfortunately, many netizens are gullible enough to believe this information. Some people even take screenshots, share the link on their social networks, post it in groups... Meanwhile, businesses or authorities, although knowing this is false information, do not have the "three heads and six arms" to explain and prove it. Even if they could do that, the damage has already occurred.
Unfortunately, many people do not understand that their gullibility and quick actions when clicking “like” and “share” have unintentionally caused serious damage to businesses. When businesses suffer, the country’s economy suffers, and so do the people.
Therefore, in the online environment, everyone needs to be very alert when receiving information, including information about Vietnamese goods, to avoid falling into the trap of hostile and reactionary forces.
2. To distinguish between real and fake information, you need to equip yourself with the necessary skills such as comparing and analyzing information; using reliable news sites and official sources for verification.
Under the wise leadership of the Party, after nearly 37 years of renovation, our country has never had the potential, position and international prestige as it does today. This is the effort, striving and contribution of the entire Party and people, including the community of enterprises and entrepreneurs with heart, talent, patriotism and the desire to position the national brand in the world market.
With that aspiration, businesses not only focus on consolidating domestic production, cooperating with international investors to produce and do business in Vietnam, but also increase exports and boldly invest abroad. Up to now, the country has had 1,625 valid foreign investment projects with a total investment capital of nearly 21.9 billion USD, focusing mostly on the mining industry; agriculture, forestry, fishery; information and communication... Brands such as Trung Nguyen coffee, Vinamilk, TH True Milk... and many agricultural products, footwear, garments, and wooden products of Vietnam have conquered the world market. Not to mention, many Vietnamese businesses cleverly entered niche markets to bring unique products, such as installing steel structures for the World Cup stadium in Qatar 2022... Recently, Vingroup Corporation also invested in an electric car factory project in the United States with an estimated capital of 4 billion USD. Thousands of Vinfast electric cars made in Vietnam have been exported to the US market. The first cars have also been delivered to customers.
In 2001, Vietnam's import and export turnover was only a modest 30 billion USD. By 2022, Vietnam's import and export turnover had officially reached a record of 700 billion USD. From 50th place in the world in terms of goods exports in 2006, by 2021, Vietnam's exports had risen to 23rd place in the world. In the ASEAN region, from the bottom position, Vietnam's goods exports and imports have now risen to second place (after Singapore).
Equip yourself with this information so that each of us can have more confidence and pride in the country's economy, as well as Vietnamese businesses, entrepreneurs and goods. Only with correct awareness can we take the right action. From pride, we have the responsibility to care and protect; and the best way to protect is not to fall into the trap of distorted information from bad guys.
At the same time, agencies, units, organizations, localities and each individual, especially cadres and party members, need to participate more actively in the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods". Party committees at all levels need to focus on better implementing Directive No. 03-CT/TU dated May 19, 2021 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".
The profound lessons that many nations in the world have shown us are that patriotism and national pride are the keys to strong development. Therefore, in today's era of integration and globalization, an important part of that key is that each patriotic citizen must not only be alert and not fall into traps, but must also be ready to protect the interests of the economy, of businesses, of Vietnamese goods; and refute the tricks and dramas created by bad guys.
A country that wants to be strong needs strong businesses and strong products. If businesses want to be strong, in addition to their own efforts, they cannot do without the support of the people.
