In recent times, implementing the National Digital Transformation Program and the guiding viewpoints of the Digital Transformation Project, directives and resolutions of TKV, Thong Nhat Coal Company has been proactive and flexible in operations, promoting digital transformation, quickly testing and deploying systems and utility solutions suitable to the unit's production reality, in order to improve production capacity, effectively serving management and operation.
Typically, the unit has deployed many software applications to improve the level of automation of production stages and management work, such as: E-office document management and operation software integrated with digital signatures and interconnection axis; production order software; ESOFT accounting software used online; material management software used on the Web platform; mine volume design and calculation software (HMO); human resource management software; electromechanical and transportation equipment management software, MineSCADA mine gas control station notification system, E-Home visual propaganda system used on the Web platform...
Recently, the Company also installed an automated conveyor system at +52, including 8 conveyor lines managed and operated by the Screening Workshop. The installation system includes a centralized control room, a camera system for the conveyor lines, a centralized control button at +52, each shift is arranged to operate 1 person/line but still ensures the operation and management method according to regulations. Workers operating at the centralized control room combine with electromechanical workers to check the operating conditions of the conveyor lines before operating at the control cabinet and monitor the monitoring screen to promptly stop the conveyor when there is a problem.
Thong Nhat Coal Company identifies the application of science and technology and digital transformation as a "backbone" solution that brings practical efficiency in production labor, reduces direct labor force, improves working conditions and enhances productivity and labor quality for employees, especially miners.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh, Deputy Director of Thong Nhat Coal Company, the unit also pays special attention to training and coaching on digital transformation, organized in a practical way, closely linked to the actual work of each employee and specialized department of the unit. For example, recently, the unit has coordinated with Biztech Joint Stock Company to organize a training session on how to use the electromechanical - transportation management software. The application of this software helps to standardize information on assets, machinery and equipment, materials for replacement, repair and maintenance, records, monitoring forms and technical parameters that need to be managed, repair and maintenance quotas... ensuring that all data on assets, machinery and equipment are managed throughout the life cycle from investment, procurement, operation and depreciation to asset liquidation to serve as a database for digitization and data standardization according to TKV's digital transformation orientation.
In order to continue to create a strong change in the awareness and actions of leaders and officers of units on digital transformation, TKV issued Plan No. 162/KH-TKV dated April 29, 2025 on the implementation of the Digital Transformation Project in 2025. Accordingly, TKV will focus on implementing 10 key tasks in 3 groups of tasks on "Awareness - Breakthrough - Action". TKV also identified 6 solutions to implement the 2025 plan: Clearly assign departments, units, and individuals with responsibilities for implementing the above digital transformation tasks; develop detailed plans to perform assigned tasks; cooperate with consulting units: Military Industry and Telecommunications Group ( Viettel ), FPT Group... to implement tasks; organize recruitment and training of human resources at the unit to meet the Group's digital transformation needs; prioritize funding to perform tasks in the plan; Consulting units in the Group strengthen capacity and human resources in digital transformation.
At the meeting to deploy the digital transformation task in 2025, Mr. Vu Anh Tuan, General Director of the Group, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation of TKV, requested the members of the Steering Committee to raise awareness and responsibility in implementing solutions to effectively perform the task in the spirit of "Continuous change - Continuous innovation"; review Project 243 in the direction of updating and adjusting the roadmap to suit the reality; the steering committee's support teams to clearly assign tasks; develop a training program on digital transformation with a deep, wide scale, from top to bottom; direct affiliated units to develop specific projects and action programs; organize seminars, thematic conferences, expand international cooperation in the field of digital transformation; build mechanisms and perfect the supplement, attraction, training and retraining of human resources for digital transformation.
