According to the Copyright Office, the development of digital platforms has created new opportunities for young artists, musicians, and music producers to bring their works to the public faster, more effectively, and with greater economic value. However, this comes with challenges related to copyright infringement, illegal copying, and illegal profiteering from digital platforms.

Currently, in the intellectual property system, copyright and related rights are important legal tools to protect musical works from unauthorized use. Ensure fair income for artists, producers, and publishers; encourage investment in the creation, production, and distribution of copyrighted content.

The Copyright Office said that Vietnam has participated in 8 international treaties on copyright and related rights such as the Berne Convention, WCT, WPPT, Marrakesh, TRIPS Agreement, many free trade agreements such as CPTPP, EVFTA, RCEP and is continuing to amend and perfect the law to keep up with new trends./.
