Exciting Ha Long Carnival 2025 "Connecting heritage - Shining pioneer"

On the evening of May 1, Ha Long Carnival 2025 with the theme "Connecting Heritage - Pioneering Shining" took place at Sun Carnival Square, Ha Long City. This is the program to kick off a series of activities and tourism products in the peak summer tourism season of 2025, promoting the potential and outstanding strengths of Ha Long City, Quang Ninh; at the same time, it is a key cultural activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day on April 30 (1975-2025).

Attending the program on the Central side were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Vu Hong Thanh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly. Delegates from Quang Ninh province included comrades: Vu Dai Thang, Party Central Committee member, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Duc An, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and the Provincial National Assembly Delegation. Also attending the program were international delegates from Laos, China, South Korea and 20,000 people and tourists.

Ha Long Carnival 2025 consists of 4 parts: Art program; Ha Long Carnival grand ball with a parade of model cars combined with art performances and carnival-style costumes; DJ performance with a large-scale stage design, gathering a large number of actors, artists and people, tourists to join in the vibrant electronic music party; high-altitude artistic fireworks display.

In particular, the Ha Long Carnaval 2025 art program includes 3 chapters: Ha Long Heritage - Brilliant Wonder; Quang Ninh - Heritage within heritage; Integration of five continents - Shining pioneer, with the participation of nearly 1,000 actors, singers, musicians, artisans from the Northeast region; non-professional actors, domestic and international art troupes... Large stage by the sea, modern projection technology, combined with sound - light - 3D mapping effects and live performances create an elaborate and impressive performance space.

The art program at Ha Long Carnival 2025 is elaborately and grandly staged.

The three main chapters of Carnaval 2025 depict the journey of Quang Ninh, from a legendary land, a vibrant cultural heritage to a symbol of global integration. The performances “Heritage Cycle”, “Ha Long Legend”, “Sacred Yen Tu”, “Miner’s Footprints”… take the audience from historical slices to the depth of indigenous culture.

The special highlight of the program is the performance of intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO such as: Then Tay Binh Lieu, Quan Ho Bac Ninh, Hue Royal Court Music, Central Highlands Gong, Southern Amateur Music, Hat Van "Co Doi Thuong Ngan"... which are recreated in a contemporary art style. These art forms are not only preserved in their original spirit but also renewed through modern orchestration, staging and visual interaction, helping to reach young audiences and international tourists in a lively and intimate way.

Nearly 1,000 actors and artists participated in the performance, creating the grand scale of the program.

The connection of national spirit in the open space of a world natural wonder creates a unique whole, affirming that Ha Long - Quang Ninh not only preserves heritage but is also a place to spread and enhance Vietnamese cultural values.

Closing the program is the chapter “Integration of five continents - Pioneering the shining”, bearing a strong international mark with the participation of foreign art troupes, young singer Quang Hung Master D and modern EDM performances, high-altitude fireworks, artistic paragliding. The highlight is the parade of 5 art model cars, representing the cultural, religious, entertainment and tourism symbols of Ha Long - Quang Ninh, clearly expressing the message of integration, dynamism and breakthrough.

Ha Long Carnival 2025 is the 18th year of organization, increasingly affirming its role as a typical cultural - tourism product of Quang Ninh province. With the consistent message "Connecting heritage - Pioneering to shine", the event contributes to enriching the cultural identity of the Northeast region, enhancing the position of Ha Long - Quang Ninh tourism on the international map.
