At the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification this morning, the image of a female party member representing the young generation speaking strongly, affirming pride in the glorious tradition of the country, respect and gratitude to the previous generation, and the promise to be proactive, volunteer, and contribute youth to build the country, firmly entering the new era, the era of national growth, has made a strong impression on many people.
The young female party member who received the honor of giving this speech is Huynh Manh Phuong, born in 1998, Secretary of Student Party Cell 6, Secretary of the School Youth Union, University of Economics and Law, Ho Chi Minh National University.
Manh Phuong officially became a party member in 2017, when he was only 19 years old.
Dynamic, enthusiastic and creative
As Secretary of the School Youth Union, assigned by the Standing Committee to be in charge of propaganda,education , movement activities and inspection and supervision work, Phuong has made many efforts to approach, advise, coordinate and direct the implementation of many activities.
Phuong has had a series of initiatives and ideas in union activities and children's work that have been applied in practice and brought about positive results.
The initiative "Systematizing data of localities with difficult and especially difficult socio-economic conditions to serve the consideration of tuition exemption and reduction policies and social subsidies" helps students and schools easily identify students eligible for 100% and 70% tuition exemption policies and social subsidies.
The initiative "Building a Learning Portal for the Citizenship and Student Activity Week according to the E-learning online teaching and learning model" helps schools implement the Citizenship and Student Activity Week online instead of in a centralized manner as before.

The initiative "Application toolkit to support work for union officials at all levels" with 3 specific products: Ho Chi Minh online cultural space, Chatbot system for answering and providing legal advice "Alo UELaw nghe"; Vote counting system for congresses and conferences at all levels.
In particular, the product Ho Chi Minh Online Cultural Space is designed with 8 online exhibition rooms associated with Uncle Ho's revolutionary life, introducing typical literary and artistic works about President Ho Chi Minh and the works he left for the Vietnamese people; introducing the will, the content of Ho Chi Minh's ideology; introducing his teachings, combined with the column "One teaching of Uncle Ho every day" on the information page "Tuoi Tre Kinh Te - Luat"...
Phuong's efforts have significantly contributed to making the University of Economics and Law's Youth Union and Student Association an excellent leading unit in the work of the Youth Union and youth movement, the work of the Association and student movement of Ho Chi Minh City in the 2023-2024 school year. All targets set for the school year were completed at 100% or more.
Active in group activities, every year, Huynh Manh Phuong always achieves a series of achievements, receiving many titles and awards at all levels.
In 2024 alone, Manh Phuong was honored to receive many awards and titles such as the title "Outstanding Young Party Member" in implementing the movement "Each young party member, one good deed" in 2024 of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City National University; two consecutive years of receiving the title "Economics - Law Youth following Uncle Ho's teachings" of the University of Economics and Law; the typical title "Skillful Mass Mobilization" of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City National University.
Also in 2024, Manh Phuong received three certificates of merit from the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City for his many contributions to the work of the Union and the youth movement, and three certificates of merit from the University of Economics and Law. In addition, Minh Phuong also received a certificate of merit from the President of the Ho Chi Minh City Lawyers Association for his excellent performance in the Association's work in 2024; a certificate of merit from the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City National University Youth Union for his active contributions to the Ho Chi Minh City National University Summer Volunteer Campaign in 2024.
Honor, pride
Manh Phuong said that he always has high political awareness and courage; always believes in the Party's leadership, and is ready to face difficulties and challenges in Party work, Youth Union work and professional work.
Representing 4.7 million young people nationwide to express the thoughts and feelings of the young generation on the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, an important holiday of the country, Minh Phuong said: "These days, looking up at the clear blue sky, seeing planes carrying the sacred red flag with yellow star flying in the sky, I, like other young people, feel more deeply: Peace is so beautiful!

Thanks to peace, we are able to study, contribute and grow up, and enjoy a prosperous and happy life. The peace we have is crystallized from the heroic ideals and traditions of the nation, from the blood and bones of previous generations, who devoted their entire youth to the cause of national liberation and national reunification," said Manh Phuong.
Expressing pride in the glorious tradition of the country, Manh Phuong affirmed that today's young generation cherishes and appreciates the value of independence, freedom and firmly believes in following the path chosen by the Party and beloved Uncle Ho.
According to Manh Phuong, today's young generation is deeply aware of the responsibility and sacred mission of continuing the revolutionary flame that previous generations have passed down, engrave the truth that "Vietnam is one, the Vietnamese people are one", "turn ideals into a driving force for development, into wings to rise up in the new era" as General Secretary To Lam affirmed in his article.
"As the future of the rising generation, we vow to learn for life, master science and technology, pioneer in national digital transformation, be proactive and active in innovative startups, develop green economy, circular economy, confidently step out into the world with extensive knowledge, healthy body and soul rich in Vietnamese cultural identity," Manh Phuong emphasized.
The young female party member also affirmed that she is always ready to be a pioneer, volunteer, and contribute her youth to build her homeland and country, join hands for the community; protect, care for, and educate the younger generation; and contribute to the overall development of the country.
Huynh Manh Phuong said that being the representative of the youth generation to speak at the 50th anniversary of the national reunification day is an extremely great honor. This is both an important task and a motivation for him to continue to make more efforts and strive in his journey of studying, training, contributing and growing up.
