Developing modern transportation and logistics infrastructure.
According to Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Pham Duc An, Da Nang currently has two international airports. Of these, Da Nang International Airport is operating efficiently, with rapidly increasing passenger numbers, aiming for 20 million passengers per year.
In the coming period, the city will coordinate the development of Chu Lai Airport to meet 4F standards, aiming to handle both passenger and cargo, and form a large-scale logistics center. Da Nang will implement an urban railway system to promote socio-economic growth, trade, services, tourism, and logistics, in line with the orientation of green, clean, and sustainable development.
Regarding the orientation towards becoming an international financial center, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City said that in mid-November, the Government is expected to issue about 7 important decrees, opening up opportunities for Da Nang to accelerate the process of forming a financial center and attracting talent from both domestic and foreign sources.

“The Party and State leaders have always paid attention to and created special mechanisms and policies to help Da Nang achieve breakthroughs. The city needs to take firm steps, make efforts, and build strong connections between all levels, sectors, and the community of experts both domestically and internationally. During the meeting, city leaders and relevant departments requested AVSE Global to research, propose, and provide guidance on several issues, including: building resources for the implementation of a Free Trade Zone and Vietnam Financial Center in Da Nang; and focusing on the marine economy.
In particular, the focus is on priority areas for the city's development, aiming to bring Da Nang to a stable and long-term double-digit growth rate.
At the same time, with its reputation and extensive international network, AVSE Global is expected to continue acting as a bridge, attracting businesses, especially large enterprises in the logistics sector, to explore and invest in Da Nang.
Towards becoming a regional economic and financial hub.
According to AVSE Global's assessment, Da Nang has many outstanding potentials and advantages to develop into a regional economic, financial, and technology hub. The city has a high global competitiveness index, ranking among the top 60/100 best cities in the Asia-Pacific region (2025) and the top 100 best airports in the world.
With its beautiful beaches, clean environment, friendly people, safety, and hospitality, Da Nang affirms its position as Vietnam's "most livable city".
Currently, Da Nang is developing strongly in the fields of services, high-tech agriculture, processing and manufacturing industries, information technology, computer programming, creative consulting, arts and entertainment - key economic sectors that form the foundation for modern and sustainable development.

To become the leading livable city in the region within the next 10-20 years, city leaders need to focus on enhancing the skills of the younger generation, building a culture of integration and an international work style, while expanding creative spaces, recreation, and entertainment for residents and tourists.
AVSE Global proposes developing a spatial structure, planning orientation, and urban spatial structure for Da Nang comprising three main zones.
The urban core is the existing center developed according to a compact urban model, concentrating service, financial, startup, and high-tech activities.
The new urban belt includes Lien Chieu, Hoa Xuan, southern Da Nang, expanding coastal connectivity in Quang Nam, forming a chain of interconnected urban areas between Hoi An and Tam Ky, and supporting the functions of the central core.
The broad interconnected area is an inland region of Quang Nam province developing green agriculture, forestry, and tourism, connected by modern transportation infrastructure and high technology to the center of Da Nang.
In the field of infrastructure and transportation, Da Nang aims to develop its seaport into an international logistics center, while expanding Da Nang International Airport to become a regional aviation hub in the Central Coast.
The city will invest in coastal expressways, urban railways, smart cities, and digital infrastructure, connecting satellite urban areas and industrial zones in a synchronized manner.
Towards green and smart cities
AVSE Global proposes that Da Nang aim to become a Southeast Asian economic hub, focusing on financial services, technology, logistics, and international tourism.

Coastal and island tourism, and high-end resorts will be developed in parallel with high-quality eco-tourism, cultural tourism, and agricultural tourism. The city also plans a network of universities, research institutes, and startup and innovation centers concentrated in the urban core.
Regarding the environment and sustainable development, AVSE Global recommends that Da Nang orient its urban development towards green, ecological, climate-change-adaptive cities, integrating sea, river, and mountain elements; focusing on disaster risk management, renewable energy development, circular economy, carbon emission reduction, and aiming for an open and sustainable city.
The city needs to revitalize the urban area on a large scale to become a strategic buffer zone, developing multi-functional areas while ensuring environmental quality. At the same time, emphasis should be placed on building natural amenities and cultural facilities to serve the community.
