The 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) was solemnly held at the national level by the Party Central Committee, President, Government, National Assembly, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Ho Chi Minh City in Ho Chi Minh City.

Attending the program were General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man , Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien.
Also attending were former Party and State leaders: former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; former Presidents Nguyen Minh Triet and Truong Tan Sang; former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung; former National Assembly Chairmen Nguyen Van An and Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan...

In addition, there were leaders of the Party and State; members of the Central Steering Committee to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country; leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, mass organizations, provinces and cities; veteran revolutionary cadres, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Labor Heroes, generals, representatives of soldiers, veterans, former people's police, former youth volunteers, frontline workers, forces participating in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign; representatives of departments, branches and sectors of Ho Chi Minh City, families of war invalids and martyrs, those who have rendered great service to the country...
Attending the ceremony were about 20 international delegations, including 3 high-ranking delegations, 4 delegations at ministerial level or higher, more than 15 political parties from different continents; representatives of more than 20 localities twinned with Ho Chi Minh City and many foreign individuals who contributed to the anti-war movement and the resistance against the war of aggression against Vietnam.
People and tourists stood orderly on both sides of the street while waiting to watch the parade.
Right after the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day The parade was attended by more than 13,000 people from 48 military blocs. The three guest groups were the Chinese, Lao and Cambodian armies. The special program was broadcast live on Vietnam Television channels and digital platforms.
