According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, as of November 16th, localities in the province had planted 35,321 hectares of winter crops out of the planned 38,500 hectares. This includes 5,700 hectares of corn, nearly 5,000 hectares of melons and pumpkins, 3,700 hectares of potatoes, and the remainder being various vegetables. 3,560 hectares of warm-weather winter crops, mainly vegetables, have already been harvested.

This year's winter crop production in various localities has been quite favorable. The dry and warm weather at the beginning of the season has created ideal conditions for land preparation, planting, and crop growth and development. Local authorities have focused on organizing production linked to consumption and processing through various forms: linking with businesses, fresh processing, drying, etc., building product brands, supporting the establishment of cooperatives for product consumption and storage, etc., while also implementing appropriate support mechanisms to develop high-value crops that are advantageous to the locality.

To ensure the planned area and production value for the winter crop, in addition to focusing on crop care and pest control, the agricultural sector recommends that localities utilize all available land to continue planting cold-tolerant vegetables in staggered seasons to reduce the pressure of concentrated harvesting.
