This is an activity within the framework of the State visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and participation in the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Workers' Party of Korea (October 10, 1945 - October 10, 2025) by General Secretary To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation.
The Kum Su San Palace of the Sun is the most sacred memorial in North Korea. Construction began in 1976 and was completed in 1977, covering an area of about 10 hectares. Initially, the building was used as the office of President Kim Il Sung. After President Kim Il Sung passed away, the building was renovated into a memorial site to preserve the body of President Kim Il Sung and began opening its doors to the public in 1995. After General Secretary Kim Jong-il passed away, his body was also placed here.

Writing in the guestbook here, General Secretary To Lam wrote: The high-ranking delegation of the Party and State of Vietnam was deeply moved to visit the Kum Su San Palace of the Sun, the eternal resting place of two great leaders of the Korean People, President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong-il, close friends and comrades of the Party, State and people of Vietnam.
During their lifetime, President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong-il devoted their entire lives to independence, freedom and socialism for the people and country of Korea, laying the foundation for building and developing the relationship and solidarity between the people of Korea and Vietnam.
The General Secretary expressed that Vietnam remembers the great merits and contributions of the Party, State and people of the DPRK under the leadership of previous leaders such as President Kim Il Sung, General Secretary Kim Jong-il and today General Secretary and State Chairman Kim Jong Un to the Party, State and people of Vietnam in the cause of protecting, building and developing the country. We are willing to continue to develop the Vietnam-DPRK cooperative and solidarity relationship, meeting the national interests and the rich, prosperous and prosperous life of the people of the two countries, for peace and stability in the region and the world.

*Next, General Secretary To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation visited Wanjingtai, the hometown of President Kim Il-sung.
The delegation visited the house where President Kim Il Sung was born and raised. Since 1947, this place has been recognized as a “Revolutionary Monument”; the traditional Korean folk house architecture is preserved in its original state, with a solid and simple structure made of wood, thatched roofs, and household items, reflecting a simple life but rich in patriotic and revolutionary traditions.
* On the same day, General Secretary To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation visited the Museum of Music Art Development.
The museum is considered the “national treasure of musical art” of Korea, comprehensively and visually demonstrating the historical development of Korean revolutionary musical art.
General Secretary To Lam signed the guest book here, expressing his admiration for the understanding, musical talent as well as the interest in culture and music of the North Korean leaders. Culture and music are the source of strength, can overcome all difficulties and hardships to win and achieve total victory. Culture and music are also the enjoyment of the people, all people can live in peace, enjoy the most civilized things of humanity.
The General Secretary wished the country and people of North Korea to continue to develop prosperously and happily as generations of North Korean leaders have directed and built from their hearts and understanding.
