General rehearsal of the visitation, memorial service and burial of martyrs' remains at Duc Co District Martyrs Cemetery

(GLO)- On the afternoon of May 22, at the Duc Co District Martyrs Cemetery, the Gia Lai Provincial Specialized Committee held a rehearsal of the program for the visitation, memorial service and burial of the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in Cambodia.

After the memorial service for martyrs at Duc Co Martyrs Memorial Temple, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Specialized Committee directed member agencies to conduct a general rehearsal of the program of the visitation, memorial service and burial of the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts. The ceremony included the following contents: flower offering, bell-ringing ceremony, flag-saluting, incense offering, eulogy and burial ceremony.

Commenting after the rehearsal, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich affirmed: " Gia Lai has made efforts to search and gather to bring the martyrs of volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who sacrificed during the war in Cambodia to rest in the bosom of Mother Vietnam. That is not only a duty and responsibility but also an order from the heart of today's generation. The official memorial service taking place on the morning of May 23 must be organized solemnly and respectfully, requiring member agencies, associations and organizations to strive to fulfill their assigned tasks."

The memorial service and burial of the martyrs of the volunteer army and Vietnamese experts at the Duc Co District Martyrs Cemetery will be broadcast live on Gia Lai Newspaper's television channel and livestreamed on Gia Lai Newspaper's social media platforms from 9:00 a.m. on May 23.
