- On the morning of May 9, the Departmentof Education and Training (DoET) held a conference to summarize the topic "Building a child-centered kindergarten" for the period 2021-2025.
According to the report, to implement the topic, right from the beginning of the period, the Department of Education and Training directed the Department of Education and Training of districts and cities to review actual conditions, select suitable model points in both favorable and difficult areas, organize thematic activities, school cluster seminars, train staff, and guide schools to build a flexible learning environment, promoting positivity in children. Each school year, the implementation plan of the topic is specified in accordance with the conditions of each unit.
Along with that, the industry focuses on improving the capacity of the team by organizing more than 4,000 training courses (from school to provincial level) for participating officials and teachers. The contents focus on methods of organizing educational activities, assessing children, life skills education, organizing STEM activities, experience and application of digital transformation in management and teaching. In 2024 alone, there will be 105 specialized training courses according to Decision 1918 of the Provincial People's Committee.
The application of information technology has been promoted; 100% of kindergartens have used management software, digitized records, and deployed QR codes to connect information with parents. Many schools also apply AI and online platforms in organizing child care and education activities.
With a systematic and creative approach, the project has brought about many practical results. Up to now, the province has 79 kindergartens implementing the pilot model (22 at the provincial level, 57 at the district level), an increase of 35 schools compared to the period 2016-2020. Many typical units such as Van Nham Kindergarten (Huu Lung), Hoang Van Thu, Hoa Sua ( Lang Son city ), Tan Van (Binh Gia) ... have built an open and friendly educational environment, creating conditions for children to develop comprehensively.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing, evaluating the results achieved and proposing a number of solutions to effectively implement the topic in the coming time such as: increasing investment in construction and improving facilities for schools; continuing to supplement equipment, supplies and toys for children; focusing on regular training and fostering for teachers; promoting the application of digital transformation in management and teaching; further promoting the role of coordination between schools, parents and the community.
Speaking at the conference, the leader of the Department of Education and Training acknowledged and praised the efforts of the Departments of Education and Training and preschools in the province for implementing the topic creatively, effectively, and in accordance with reality. He emphasized: In the coming time, the whole sector needs to continue to closely follow the direction of innovation in preschool education, in which taking children as the center is the focus throughout; focusing on improving the quality of the teaching staff; replicating typical models; increasing the mobilization of social resources; promoting digital transformation to improve the effectiveness of management and organization of educational activities, thereby building a safe, modern, and friendly learning environment, contributing to the comprehensive development of children right from the first years of life.
On this occasion, the Provincial Department of Education and Training awarded certificates of merit from the Director of the Department of Education and Training to 22 collectives and 22 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing, directing and organizing the implementation of the topic " Building a child-centered kindergarten" in the period 2021 - 2025.
