Speaking to lecturers and students of the Diplomatic Academy, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev especially emphasized that economy and trade are an important part of the relationship between the two countries.
During his official visit to Vietnam, on November 26, in Hanoi , President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev visited the Diplomatic Academy and gave a speech to exchange with lecturers and students of the Academy.
Speaking to the lecturers and students of the Academy, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev affirmed the importance of the Vietnam-Bulgaria relationship for the two regions of the two countries, emphasizing Vietnam's role as a bridge between Bulgaria and ASEAN and Bulgaria's role as a bridge between Vietnam and the European Union.
According to the President, over the years, Vietnam and Bulgaria have built legal frameworks and cooperation mechanisms in many fields such as economy , trade, defense, education, and security.
Among them, President Rumen Radev particularly emphasized that economic and trade relations are an important part of the bilateral relationship.
The upcoming Vietnam-Bulgaria Business Forum in Ho Chi Minh City aims to further strengthen bilateral economic relations, demonstrating the potential for mutually beneficial economic cooperation in areas where both sides have strengths and needs.
In the field of education, President Rumen Radev emphasized the tradition of cooperation between the two countries, with more than 3,600 engineers, scientists and 30,000 skilled workers in many fields of Vietnam having studied and trained in Bulgaria.
Many people who were students in Bulgaria after returning home have made many contributions to the development of their homeland, becoming important leaders of Vietnam.
Bulgaria is currently pursuing innovation and creativity and has achieved some success thanks to its policy of nurturing innovative businesses and the digital economy.
President Rumen Radev affirmed that Bulgaria has achieved a harmonious balance between innovation and tradition; this will be a lesson for Vietnam.
Addressing the students of the Diplomatic Academy, the future diplomats of Vietnam, President Rumen Radev emphasized that “this is a very important profession for the future, not even a profession, but a vocation for the future. Because the world has become an arena of strong and frequent competition, even fierce, and international relations are fragile.”
“Becoming a good diplomat is the best way to serve the country, protect the interests of the people and continue Vietnam’s progress and international integration. That is why I am here, because I want to see the development of relations between Vietnam and Bulgaria in the next stage,” President Rumen Radev said./.
