The prestigious travel insurance service provider Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection, USA has announced a list of the 15 safest cities for tourists.

According to Carol Mueller, vice president of Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection (BHTP), the report is based on a survey of real-life experiences of tourists who have visited these cities to find the safest destinations in 2024.

In addition, the company analyzes other data from the US State Department and third parties to comprehensively assess safety concerns such as terrorism, weather emergencies, and health measures.

Previously, Scandinavian countries (including Denmark, Norway and Sweden) and Northern Europe often topped the list of the world's safest cities. However, in 2024, cities in Asia and South America took the lead.

Topping the list of the world's safest cities in 2024 is Honolulu in the United States. Despite being vulnerable to natural disasters, Honolulu is still a destination that is highly rated by tourists for its safety.

In addition, in this ranking, there is another city from the United States, Orlando in the state of Florida, ranked 15th. Orlando is famous for its amusement parks and family-friendly attractions. In addition, this city is highly rated in terms of traffic safety and effective anti-terrorism.
