Ha Long City: The 2025 Ky Thuong Cherry Blossom Festival will take place on March 22-23, 2025

Implementing the Project "Ha Long - Festival City", on March 22-23, 2025, in Ky Thuong commune, Ha Long City People's Committee will organize the Cherry Blossom Festival - Ky Thuong in 2025. This is the first festival organized by Ha Long City People's Committee to contribute to maintaining and promoting the good traditional cultural values of the nation, creating unique products to promote, promote and attract tourists to Ha Long City in general and Ky Thuong commune in particular.

Ky Thuong is the highest commune in the highland communes of Ha Long City, with a population of nearly 900 people, of which nearly 100% are Dao Thanh Phan people. In addition to its biodiversity value, Ky Thuong commune is also considered a locality with natural tourism resources, with many high mountain ranges, many systems of rivers, lakes, streams, and vertical waterfalls, interspersed with vast green forests creating a natural landscape of "beautiful mountains and rivers", cool climate all year round, considered as a "giant air conditioner" for Ha Long City.

One of the development orientations of Ha Long City in Ky Thuong commune is to develop sustainable tourism models, develop new service models but still comprehensively protect natural forests, protect water resources, preserve and promote the cultural values of the Dao ethnic group.

Ky Thuong Cherry Blossom Area is a new and promising eco-tourism project in Ha Long, accompanied by leading Japanese companies specializing in cherry blossom planting. Currently, there are about 100 cherry blossom trees planted and growing well.

At the festival, people and tourists will participate in folk games, learn and experience the traditional embroidery art of the Thanh Phan Dao people.

The festival will take place from 9:00 a.m. on March 22 and end at 12:00 p.m. on March 23, including outstanding activities such as: Cherry blossom tree planting; visiting cherry blossom displays and exhibitions; visiting OCOP product display and sale booths and some product display and sale booths of typical households and businesses in the city; cultural and sports exchange activities taking place during the festival; Kimono (Japan) and ethnic costumes of Ha Long City; bamboo dancing exchange; crossbow shooting, stick pushing, stilt walking performance, traditional costume embroidery, etc.
