Ho Chi Minh City: 4 end-line hospitals support Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital

The Department of Health has assigned 4 end-line hospitals to provide comprehensive and professional support to Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital, in order to fully meet the health care needs of the people.

With the orientation of developing Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital into a complete general hospital to meet the health care needs of people in Hoc Mon district and neighboring areas, the Department of Health has directed strongly on the preparation of medical human resources to promptly and effectively implement medical examination and treatment activities as soon as the new facility comes into operation.

In the first phase, doctors from the following hospitals: People's Hospital 115, Children's Hospital 1, Tu Du Hospital and City Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology will participate in examining and directly treating patients, providing practical guidance in assigned fields, and at the same time guiding the hospital in developing treatment regimens, technical procedures and organizing training courses to improve professional qualifications for medical staff of Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital.

In addition, the hospitals have agreed to develop coordination regulations in consultation, emergency transportation, remote medical examination and treatment, ensuring that all work is carried out smoothly and effectively.

Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Dang Quoc Quan, director of Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital, said that this hospital is one of three important gateway hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City with a scale of 500 beds.

According to the plan, the hospital will receive support from four end-line hospitals. Specifically, People's Hospital 115 is responsible for comprehensive support and development of key specialties in stroke treatment, Children's Hospital 1 is responsible for supporting pediatric specialties, Tu Du Hospital is responsible for supporting obstetrics and gynecology specialties, and the Hospital of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery is responsible for supporting maxillofacial specialties.

Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital is also actively implementing a plan to train and develop medical human resources.

Hospital doctors will be sent to study specialties at upper-level hospitals, including courses in surgery, emergency resuscitation, and other specialties.

It is expected that on April 4, the signing ceremony of cooperation between the hospitals will officially take place, marking an important step in the implementation of the activities of Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital.

Comprehensive cooperation and support from end-line hospitals not only helps improve professional capacity, but also creates new motivation and opportunities for Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital to meet all conditions to transfer specialized techniques, moving towards the position of a quality gateway hospital for people in the region.
