Ho Chi Minh City is about to have another factory producing unmanned aerial vehicles.

On November 25, Gremsy Joint Stock Company started construction of the Gremsy factory in Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park (SHTP). The project covers an area of over 25,700 square meters, with a total initial investment of VND550 billion.

Gremsy is a Vietnamese enterprise, established in 2011, specializing in new generation gimbal, payload and camera module solutions for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems.

Mr. Tran Quoc Vinh, General Director of Gremsy, said that the groundbreaking of the Gremsy factory is not only to expand the scale but also to realize the aspiration of building a Vietnamese technology brand with global influence.

"We are committed to constantly innovating, mastering technology and expanding scale to contribute to a stronger international supply chain, affirming the role of Vietnamese enterprises on the high-tech map in the region and the world ," said Mr. Vinh.

Gremsy said it has received a lot of support from the High-Tech Park Management Board, including administrative procedures, preferential policies on taxes, costs and human resources for specific technology enterprises.

The company expects to build the factory in about 12 months. Once completed, the expected capacity will be about 14,000 products per year.

At the same time, the R&D department will develop 50–100 new products each year in the fields of gimbals, payloads, camera modules, AI and UAV solutions, designed by Vietnamese engineers and distributed globally.

"Currently, Gremsy's products have been exported to 83 countries, of which North America accounts for more than 50% of revenue. The company hopes to continue to expand, contribute more to the domestic high-tech industry and gradually move towards complete UAV production in Vietnam," Mr. Vinh shared.
