This is a strategic orientation to ensure that Ho Chi Minh City maintains and promotes its leading role in the southern key economic region.
At the same time, strongly concretize Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
According to Mr. Lam Dinh Thang, Ho Chi Minh City has set a strategic goal by 2030 to build Ho Chi Minh City into a leading regional center of science, technology and innovation, determined to bring the creative startup ecosystem into the Top 100 most dynamic cities in the world.
To realize the above goals, in the 2026-2030 period, Ho Chi Minh City determined to focus on three strategic breakthrough orientations: Institutional and policy breakthrough; Strategic technology and innovation ecosystem breakthrough; Digital governance and digital human resources breakthrough.
