After surgery, the woman's condition was stable. However, after 2 days, the female client's surgical wound showed signs of infection. Despite intensive antibiotic treatment, she had difficulty breathing and was transferred to Military Hospital 175 .
At Military Hospital 175, doctors diagnosed the woman with septic shock and acute heart failure in a patient with type 2 diabetes and provided intensive treatment. Military Hospital 175 sent a dispatch to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to report this incident.
Immediately afterwards, the Department of Health sent a team of experts to quickly assess the conditions for ensuring patient safety in cosmetic surgery at Gia Dinh General Hospital. The team noted that there were many issues that needed to be clarified in infection control, treatment indications, and patient care here.
Based on the initial assessment of the inspection team, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has requested Gia Dinh General Hospital to temporarily suspend liposuction-related techniques, and urgently review all conditions to ensure patient safety according to regulations, seriously implement the "Comprehensive care process for patients undergoing liposuction and abdominoplasty" issued by the Department of Health, and report corrective solutions to the Department of Health and the Ministry of Health./.
