Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has directed the implementation of the campaign through drug bidding in the area, supervising the implementation of the prescription project and prioritizing the prescription of domestically produced drugs.

As a result, in the 2025-2026 drug market stabilization program, Ho Chi Minh City has 8 businesses registered to participate with a total of 290 products in 20 groups of domestically produced drugs. All products in the program are guaranteed in quality, including drugs to treat common diseases, chronic diseases and high demand, built on the essential needs of Ho Chi Minh City residents.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City has 2,711 points of sale of stabilized drugs, including private pharmacies, hospital pharmacies and pharmacies of enterprises. The selling price of stabilized drugs is at least 5% lower than the market price, is built by enterprises themselves and registered with the Department of Health, approved by the Department of Finance, and remains stable until the end of the first quarter of 2026.
All points of sale comply with the listed prices and do not sell at prices higher than the registered prices. The amount of medicine supplied to the market has met the people's need for medicine, people have more choices of medicine in treating diseases. The stable drug sales from April 1 to June 30 were more than 6.8 billion VND, an increase of 101.09% compared to the same period last year.
