Vung Tau City pays tribute to forces serving on April 30th

Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh, Secretary of Vung Tau City Party Committee, awarded certificates of merit and bonuses to organizations with outstanding achievements in performing their tasks during the April 30 holiday.

During the five days of the holiday, the city welcomed and served 366,000 tourists, of which more than 68,000 stayed overnight, an increase of 124.5% over the same period in 2024. The peak day of May 3 alone recorded about 90,000 visitors. The total tourism revenue of the whole city is estimated at more than 217 billion VND, an increase of more than 40% over the same period in 2024. The average room occupancy rate reached 85-90%.

In addition, during the recent holiday, many big events took place in Vung Tau such as: National Art Kite Festival, International Sailing Race, Open Lion - Lion - Dragon Competition, V-FEST ALL STAR Music Festival.

Although there were many visitors and many events, the service to the guests, security and order, and environmental sanitation were guaranteed. During the holiday, there were no cases of "price gouging", price hikes, or price pressure. The tourism support hotline operated 24/7, receiving 28 calls for destination guidance and service support.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Vung Tau City presented letters of thanks and commendation to groups and individuals who had excellent achievements in performing their tasks during the holiday.
