Interest rates on deposits at Vietbank counters in May 2025

In May 2025, Vietbank will maintain the interest rate schedule for individual customers at the counter. The interest rates applied are based on the form of receiving interest at the end of the term, ranging from 3.8% to 5.8%/year, depending on the deposit term from 1 to 36 months.

Specifically, short terms such as 1 month and 2 months are listed at 4.0%/year. Meanwhile, terms from 3 months to 5 months have the same interest rate of 3.9%/year. This is a group of terms with lower interest rates than the general level.

For the 6-month to 11-month term group, Vietbank is applying an interest rate of 5.0%/year, suitable for medium-term savings needs.

The 12-month and 14-month terms have higher interest rates, reaching 5.5%/year. The 15-month term is 5.6%/year, and the 16-17-month terms are applied at 5.7%/year.

The highest interest rate at the counter is 5.8%/year, applied to savings with terms from 18 months to 36 months. This is a choice worth considering for long-term depositors.

In the super short term group, from 1 week to 3 weeks, Vietbank applies the lowest interest rate of 0.3%/year, suitable for customers needing high liquidity.

With online savings, Vietbank offers more preferential interest rates, ranging from 4.1% to 5.9%/year, and remains the same as last month.

Specifically, the 1-2 month term is applied with an interest rate of 4.1%/year, higher than the counter deposit. The terms from 3 months to 11 months have online interest rates ranging from 4.4% to 5.1%/year, bringing better yields for medium-term deposits.

The online interest rate for a 12-month term is currently set at 5.8%/year, equivalent to the highest interest rate at the counter. In particular, from 18 months onwards, online depositors enjoy Vietbank's highest interest rate of 5.9%/year.
