Sun Group started construction of 3/2 Street Urban Area project in Vung Tau City

Attending and performing the groundbreaking ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Mr. Pham Viet Tham, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province; Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province; Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province.

With a scale of 96 hectares and a total investment of nearly 37,000 billion VND, the 3/2 Street Urban Area is designed with an aesthetic spirit, planned according to 5 functional zones, including: high-rise apartments, low-rise villas, retail complexes, condotel hotels. In particular, the heart of the project is a 19-hectare theme water park.

Sharing at the groundbreaking ceremony, a representative ofSun Group Corporation said that the water park is divided into 4 sub-areas bearing cultural and historical imprints, including: Sub-area 1 recreates the cultural space of the South with floating markets, fishing villages, and basket boats; Sub-area 2 suggests the "Silk Road Journey" - simulating the legendary European trade route on the East Sea; Sub-area 3 takes visitors back in time to explore the Oc Eo - Phu Nam culture; Sub-area 4 explores the ecosystem of the Southern river with pristine nature.

In particular, the park owns the tallest twin wave pools in Vietnam (1.8m and 2.4m high) and the longest roller coaster in Asia - Pacific (over 300m long).

Mr. Dang Minh Truong, Founding Board Member and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sun Group Corporation, affirmed that it is expected that after 8 months, the water park will be launched and after 12 to 18 months, there will be accommodation products and accompanying services to attract domestic and foreign tourists.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Tho assessed that the project is of great significance, gradually contributing to concretizing the tasks assigned by the Prime Minister in the Planning of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 with the content of "forming tourist cities with a synchronous and modern infrastructure system, a safe, clean and superior quality living environment; positioning Ba Ria-Vung Tau as an international entertainment and resort center", while realizing the goal of developing Vung Tau city into a high-quality international tourism center.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that Sun Group will urgently focus resources to deploy and construct the project in accordance with regulations, ensuring quality, labor safety, environmental protection, urban aesthetics, quickly putting the project into operation, creating more new, quality products to serve the people and tourists.

“The Ba Ria-Vung Tau provincial government is committed to accompanying and creating the most favorable conditions, especially in supporting, removing difficulties and speeding up the settlement of related administrative procedures so that the project can be implemented as planned,” affirmed Mr. Nguyen Van Tho.

The 3/2 Street Urban Area Project is inspired by the journey of discovery of Vung Tau by Portuguese and French explorers from the 13th century, combining the indigenous spirit typical of the South, the project's architecture is a convergence of the quintessence of East - West, tradition and modernity. The project design consultancy is by Aedas, an architectural design company that has been in the Top 10 largest design consulting firms in the world for many years, with the vision of making the 3/2 Street Urban Area a new symbol of Vung Tau - Saigon, where historical - indigenous cultural values ​​and modern lifestyle intersect.
