Along with reviewing draft laws, on the morning of May 17, the National Assembly will vote to pass a Resolution of the National Assembly on a number of special mechanisms and policies for private economic development.

According to the Agenda of the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly, on the morning of May 17, the National Assembly held a plenary session in the hall to listen to the Presentation and Report on the examination of the draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Vietnamese Nationality; listen to the Presentation and Report on the examination of the draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Bidding; Law on Investment under the form of public-private partnership; Law on Customs; Law on Export Tax and Import Tax; Law on Investment; Law on Public Investment; Law on Management and Use of Public Assets.

Next, the National Assembly will discuss in the hall the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Product and Goods Quality.

Also on the morning of May 17, the National Assembly will vote to pass the National Assembly Resolution on a number of special mechanisms and policies for private economic development; vote to pass the National Assembly Resolution on a number of special mechanisms and policies, creating breakthroughs in law making and enforcement.

In the afternoon, the National Assembly discussed in groups the Draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Vietnamese Nationality; the Draft Law on State Budget (amended); the Draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Bidding; the Law on Investment under the public-private partnership model; the Customs Law; the Law on Export Tax and Import Tax; the Investment Law; the Law on Public Investment; and the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets.

Regarding the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on mechanisms and policies for private economic development, explaining to the National Assembly on the morning of May 16, Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang said that the Government has directed the agencies in charge of drafting the draft laws and resolutions being submitted to the National Assembly at the 9th session to urgently review and study the contents of Resolution No. 68 to institutionalize them immediately in the draft laws and resolutions this time.

For some outstanding breakthrough mechanisms and policies for enterprises, business households, and individuals doing business in some sectors and fields, which can be stipulated in this draft resolution, the laws being amended and expected to be submitted to the National Assembly for approval at the 9th session will stipulate mechanisms and policies applicable to enterprises in all sectors and fields of the economy to ensure that they do not disrupt the general design of the law.

For contents that require time for careful research and evaluation and are currently regulated in other laws and resolutions on inspection, examination, licensing, certification, handling of violations and cases in production and business activities, bankruptcy settlement, etc., the draft resolution provides a number of principled provisions to guide amendments and supplements to specialized laws, ensuring compliance with the requirements of Resolution 68 of the Central Committee./.
