Tra Vinh Provincial People's Court held a conference of advanced models of Emulation Cluster No. IX of the court sector.

Attending the conference were comrades: Kim Ngoc Thai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial Judicial Reform Steering Committee; Duong Thi Ngoc Tho, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Doan Minh Phuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; Trinh Minh Tu, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chief Justice of the People's Court of Tra Vinh province; leaders of the People's Courts of the provinces in Emulation Cluster No. IX, including: People's Courts of Dong Thap, Tra Vinh, Ben Tre , Vinh Long, Tien Giang, Long An provinces; representatives of agencies under the internal affairs bloc of Tra Vinh province.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Trinh Minh Tu, Chief Justice of the Provincial People's Court, emphasized: the conference is an opportunity for units to look back and evaluate the actual results in the emulation. At the same time, select and honor collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements, worthy of being typical examples to continue to spread and replicate throughout the industry. Comrade Trinh Minh Tu suggested that delegates should promote the spirit of objectivity, honesty, and choose the right person, the right job, and the right achievements.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, the patriotic emulation movement of the People's Court in Emulation Cluster No. IX was widely and effectively deployed, becoming an important driving force to help the entire sector successfully complete its tasks. Units in the cluster launched more than 100 thematic emulation movements, with many practical contents, closely following the requirements of judicial reform and assigned political tasks.

Over the past 5 years, the People's Court in the cluster has accepted more than 382,000 cases, resolving 94%, without cases exceeding the statutory time limit; the rate of cases being annulled or amended due to subjective errors is only 0.39%. Mediation and dialogue work has achieved many positive results, with more than 198,000 successful mediation and dialogue cases. Professional inspection work has been implemented synchronously and effectively, with more than 90 inspections, 194,522 judgments and decisions inspected.

In terms of criminal enforcement, the entire cluster had 39,600 convicts; the courts issued 39,463 decisions to enforce sentences on convicted persons, the sentences have come into legal effect; considered reducing the sentences and releasing 43,702 prisoners on major national holidays. The entire cluster announced 161,177 judgments and decisions that must be announced on the People's Court's Electronic Information Portal.

The People's Courts in the cluster organized 5,967 experience-sharing sessions, with the participation of 728 judges. At the same time, promoting the application of information technology in trial activities, organizing 1,729 online sessions, of which, the People's Court of Tra Vinh province took the lead with 962 sessions. The Legal Virtual Assistant tool was widely used throughout the cluster with more than 2.2 million visits, contributing more than 14,766 legal situations, helping court officials look up and apply the law more accurately and effectively.

In addition, the emulation and reward work has discovered and honored hundreds of outstanding collectives and individuals. The entire cluster has 01 Second Class Labor Medal, 03 Third Class Labor Medals, 15 Government Emulation Flags, 417 excellent labor collectives, and thousands of outstanding individual titles awarded.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing the key directions and tasks for the 2025-2030 period, continuing to strongly innovate emulation and reward work, improving the quality of trials, judicial reform, building an increasingly clean and strong court staff, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Kim Ngoc Thai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged and commended the outstanding results that the People's Courts of the provinces in the cluster have achieved in the period of 2020 - 2025. He emphasized that the court is the center of the judicial system, a reliable support for the people in protecting justice. Comrades need to continue to thoroughly grasp the thoughts of President Ho Chi Minh, especially the teaching "must be close to the people, understand the people, help the people, learn from the people" to improve themselves, improve the quality of trials, and contribute to the successful implementation of judicial reform in the new situation.

On this occasion, the conference voted to honor 01 provincial People's Court collective and 04 district-level People's Court collectives to receive the People's Court Emulation Flag for the period 2020 - 2025; 05 individuals were also honored as typical advanced models for their outstanding contributions to the emulation movement of the whole industry.
