Wastewater collection rate in industrial parks reaches over 82%

According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, 31 industrial parks (IPs) operating in the province have all completed the construction of centralized wastewater treatment plants with a total design capacity of more than 239 thousand m³/day, with a total investment of more than 2.7 thousand billion VND. In addition, Long Thanh High-Tech Industrial Park has completed the investment in a centralized wastewater treatment system with a design capacity of nearly 3 thousand m³/day, and is preparing for trial operation.

The total amount of wastewater generated at 31 operating industrial parks is about 147 thousand m³/day, of which the amount of wastewater collected by enterprises connected to centralized wastewater treatment plants is more than 121 thousand m³/day, accounting for more than 82%; the amount of wastewater from enterprises licensed to directly discharge is more than 26 thousand m³/day, accounting for nearly 18%; there are 12 enterprises that have not connected wastewater to wastewater treatment plants with a volume of about 30 m³/day.

Currently, 28 wastewater treatment plants of industrial parks have installed automatic continuous monitoring systems and connected, transmitting data directly to specialized environmental protection agencies at the provincial level.
