Ho Chi Minh City closes enrollment for first grade classes early, parents should take note

(Dan Tri) - Enrollment for the first grades from kindergarten to high school this year in Ho Chi Minh City will be completed in June, 2 months earlier than every year.

This issue was emphasized by the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City at the conference to review the enrollment work for the 2024-2025 school year.

According to the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, for the 2025-2026 school year, enrollment for preschool, grade 1, grade 6, grade 10, and high school graduation in the city will be completed next June.

In particular, the 10th grade entrance exam in 2025 will be held on June 6-7; the high school graduation exam in 2025 will take place on June 26 and 27.

The Department is waiting for the decision to recognize the new high-quality school (high-quality model "advanced school, international integration"), from which it will advise the City People's Committee on the enrollment plan for the first grade classes.

Every year, enrollment for kindergarten, grade 1, and grade 6 is completed in August in Ho Chi Minh City.

The acceleration of the implementation of enrollment for the first grade classes in Ho Chi Minh City in the 2025-2026 school year earlier than previous years is to suit the context of the whole country implementing the arrangement and merger of provinces and cities, completing the district-level tasks according to Conclusion 127-KL/TW dated February 28, 2025 of the Politburo and the Secretariat on implementing research and proposing to continue to arrange the organization of the political system.

After the district-level enrollment steering committee finishes its role, the Department of Education and Training will issue a document directing the establishment of a grassroots enrollment steering committee to continue enrollment work.

In the 2025-2026 school year, enrollment for the first grade classes in Ho Chi Minh City will be conducted online at https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn/ through the student's identification code and "Actual residence" according to VNeID.
