Eid al-Fitr is one of the most important festivals for Muslims. It marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, a time when Muslims fast, pray, and reflect, striving to become the best version of themselves, both spiritually and morally. As Ramadan comes to an end, Muslims around the world celebrate Eid al-Fitr with joy and gratitude to Allah for giving them the strength to complete the fast.

At the event, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed Ismaeil A. Dahlwy gave an overview of Eid al-Fitr and its importance to Muslims as well as Saudi Arabian customs during this holiday. The Ambassador said that Eid al-Fitr is one of the most important holidays in the Islamic calendar. This is a holiday of forgiveness, compassion and solidarity. Eid al-Fitr celebrations vary from country to country but include family reunions, visiting friends, praying together, giving gifts, enjoying parties, wearing new clothes and visiting relatives' graves.
On this occasion, the Ambassador also called for promoting the spirit of peace , coexistence and solidarity - common values of all humanity.
“On Eid morning, we wake up early and put on our new or best clothes, then go to the mosque with our family to perform a special prayer – the Al-Eid prayer,” said Aziz and Sara. After the prayer, everyone wishes each other “Eid Mubarak,” which means “Happy Eid,” wishing their friends and family happiness and blessings.
Eid is not only a time to enjoy delicious food and give gifts, but also a time to spend time with family, forgive others and spread kindness. In Saudi Arabia, cities are decorated with lights and many families go to parks, entertainment centers or take short trips together, creating beautiful memories with their loved ones.
Eid al-Fitr is truly a time of happiness, reflection and unity in Saudi Arabia. We cherish these moments because they bring us closer together and remind us of the blessings in life.”
At the program, embassies of several Arab and Muslim countries also participated in introducing their culture and customs during Eid Al-Fitr, and showed video clips introducing their culture, country and people.
